Update: Community found out that about a good chunk of skills and weapon effects aren't working properly... nice... sure is "polished as much as possible"

Only Capcom could release patches for a game that has terrible performance and make it worse so that now it crashes as well.

I WANT to so badly give a thumbs up but the performance for someone who meets the high res texture pack requirements getting the performance of someone who barely meets minimum on the main game with those 1% lows is INSANE.

Overall, cannot recommend anyone get the game at the moment even if your system meets the requirements, the game is too unstable and in a terrible spot optimization wise.

The game is still very much actively in development but it's really damn good. Kind of like a strange mix of Rimworld/Dwarf Fortress and a modernized JRPG
For all the beginners out there, actually equip your melee weapons.

I'll write an actual review when the games not constantly in flux.

This game definitely isn't for everyone but it's definitely one of those labors of love that's been in active development for nearly 20 years that deserves the attention and love.

Preliminary Review:
The game is great, it definitely has a handful of bugs but they're not super bad. What does need some tuning is the health of mutants and the wear of armor and guns.
But what game day 1 doesn't need a bunch of patches?

Even if the 12/10 company that is Supergiant Games never finished it, it has enough replay value and quality to justify a full price buy. Some things definitely need tuning but if you've ever played a Supergiant Game before you should know the level of quality they produce.
If you don't... Well then, if Hades 1 was for you... Hades 2 absolutely will be as well. If you haven't played Hades 1... why not?

This game definite has its bugs but for a procedurally generated detective game it's so impressive. It doesn't quite rival Rimworld, Minecraft, Caves of Qud, or Dwarf Fortress in terms of how robust it is with the generation but for a game in early access it's absolutely impressive.
Even if it was a full release I would still recommend it for the price it is at as there is a lot to do and of course tons of replay-ability.
