A game with a lot of potential, both from a pvp and pve standpoint.
Despite having somewhat of a grudge against the claustrophobic nature of some escort map, most of them are well-designed and quite pleasant to the eye.
Both weapons and movement feel really good and contribute to an adrenaline packed gameplay, perfect for whom enjoys COD-like first person shooters!

Sadly i cannot express myself about the gameplay feels since I've had the chance to only play two games but what i can say is that the game is in need of some serious optimization under the graphics department.
With a GTX 1050 Ti (which is above the minimum requirements to run the game), updated drivers and all graphics set to minimum the game runs at a whopping 33 fps alone in the main menu and about 16-24 fps in game which is nowhere near being acceptable with all the visual clutter that takes place on your screen during a fight.

The HUD also needs to be polished, particularly when it comes to the ingame objective's notifications which are displayed in a very intrusive way about 1-2 inches above your crosshair, often forcing you to actively aim above the horizon every time a message would pop up (and they pop up often), just to get a clear view of the battlefield.

The bad...


A chasm between gamemodes
Arcade battles feel extremely cheap because as long as an enemy has you in their field of vision, you'll be visible on the minimap and a big red nametag will appear over your tank which can be seen through several buildings and basically at an infinite range as long as you lock onto the target with the middle mouse button. Neat, huh?
Realistic battles are better in that regards but they're extremely punitive for new players, especially given that map knowledge and knowing sight lines play an immense role in this mode. Ever played Dark souls and Elden ring? Child's play compared to this game.

A hit to realism
The game adverts realism but the grand majority of the tanks unlocked in low BR struggle with the slightest inclination and in some cases they even get stuck on a lower portion of the map where they can't easily get out of (I'm looking at you 47/32 L40 on Ash River, point A). Partially because of this reason, it is not uncommon for you to spend several minutes just driving towards the capture point at an awfully slow pace and god forbid if you hit a destructible decoration: those ludicrous 12 km/h will be halved in no time. It's a tank i'm sure it can drive over a wooden fence with relative ease, no? Welp, there goes my precious speed.

Grind? I barely know 'er!
Researching vehicles and parts is painstakingly slow and, in all honesty, the grind doesn't feel rewarding in the slightest and that's something said from someone whom played grindfests like Warframe for thousands of hours. It's there purely because Gaijin wants you to spend money to buy premium currency so that you can either assign "convertible research points" to what you're trying to research or straight-up by it immediately.

..and the good


Despite the shot fired at the lack of realism in the tank movement, the game actually manages to deliver good realism in terms of tank modules, volumetric armor and even bullets to the point where the game can become rather technical and overwhelm new players with all the kinds of bullets and MG belts that some vehicle have.
The game has a pretty high skill ceiling thanks to the different strategies you can have when fighting your foes, especially given that every tank has weak points so the best approach might not always be blasting right away at center of mass.
There's a cubic FRICKTONNE of vehicles in the game (exactly 2000 at the time of this review) buut a good portion of them are premium vehicles that can only be bought through Gaijin own version of the steam market and OH BOY if some prices are high.
Last but not least... the game can be quite addicting sometimes. I don't know why but placing a good shot onto your enemy and watching it go up in a blazing fireball of glory gives you a rush of dopamine that makes you yearn for more death and murder. I promise, I'm not not a psychopath... i think

The conclusion


From what i experienced so far, the game is not bad but at the same time i don't think i would really recommend it, especially for casual players. The suffering and grind required to get out of low BR games is extremely painful to the point where it just ruined the game for me, especially given that some countries like Italy or France have awful reserve vehicles making the grind even painful.

I know that i don't have much play time in this game but in the little time i played the game spoke about its quality really clearly.

First of all, let's address the elephant in the room... this is a mobile game ported to PC. At first i was pretty skeptic about people calling it a "copy and paste of xyz game" but it turns out that it actually is; more specifically it is a bad copy of "Last day on earth: Survival" which, if you like these types of game, is frankly a better choice than whatever this aspires to be.

Animations are clunky, especially when your character moves on the map (it snaps to the new direction) and if you have a decent idea on how game code works, you'll immediately realize that this is a clear indication of bad porting job.

The combat system is... pretty bad. It has no flaw to it and most of the time you just sneak up to a zombie to get a critical hit and afterwards you just sit in front of it holding down space as you wait for its death. Hit detection is even worse. Once you're in range for an attack and you trigger it you could be metaphorically on the other side of the map and still get hit by it

The game has a sort of battle-pass feature to it and lots and lots of micro-transaction that attempts to draw the player in with the typical up-selling statements like: "recharge your account for the first time and get this pack worth 299$ USD" (yes, those are the exact words on a bundle containing a pet and some components).. you get the point.

Other "minor" things include:
-The wildlife is leashed so upon scaring them away they will return exactly to their previous spot once you stop chasing them (you're free to see this as either an up or down.. for me it's lazy programming)
-Scrolling in the crafting menu is PAINFUL. No joke, i get why everyone complains about it. As a mouse, I have a Logitech G502 that features a scroll-wheel which can freely spin. Even with that it takes a solid 8-10 seconds to get to the bottom of the relatively short crafting list AND IT SHOULDN'T.

It's a game with very high potential and it's definitely worth keeping an eye on.
It kinda lacks content as of right now (which is completely fine for an Early Access game, don't get me wrong) especially because the experience you get by playing the tutorial it's pretty much all the game has to offer.
Sure, there's still the challenge of succeeding in making your "tribe" thrive but.. sadly i can't say that the challenge you're faced with it's a "good" challenge.

The game feels highly unbalanced, especially when it comes to water consumption/production:

It takes 30 survivors to have a net production of about 600 units of water on a settlement with 95-100 people (rough total consumption of 3.6k) compared to the 1480 net production of food with 23 survivors. This means that over the course of 7 seasons (days), which is the average time between droughts, you're capable of producing (assuming that numbers will remain the same) a total of 4.2k units of water which is barely enough to sustain your settlement for an entire drought and god forbid if you so happen to encounter a second drought back to back with the first one cause if that's the case all you can do it's just watch the number of your survivors drop down from 100+ to 54 like it happened to me.

TL;DR.. Buy the game if you're a masochist or wait until further development/balancing.

I utterly fell in love with this game.
The lore it's really well done and pleasant to follow, the game it's well polished, smooth feeling (thing that does not apply to all rogue-like games) and I've noticed that the devs have put A LOT of attention to details.
This game is a must have for everyone who likes rogue-like games!
