this game makes me smile incessantly

oh my god, this demo makes me so utterly happy. it's cute, cozy, and open to be explored. there are little hidden bips and bops here and there that I've found (and I'm not telling u what or where) and I couldn't stop smiling the entire time I played. I CANNOT WAIT for the full version!

I'm gonna be so real, I did NOT have high hopes for this when it was announced. Looked like an asset flip cash grab trying to capitalize on the popularity of Fortlikes. That and I'm typically not a multiplayer guy at all.

Man was I wrong, I've already dumped way more hours into this game than I thought I would, figured I'd play it, hate it, and refund it, but WOW. Fromsoft kinda killed it with this one.

If you love Elden Ring and you're on the fence, get off the fence and try it.

the zone chat is full of disgusting degenerates that make animal sex jokes and asking people for help is a fruitless endeavor. this is a community issue, of course, but there's also the issue with the game not doing a great job of onboarding. there's a huge amount that I, as a new player, have no idea how to approach, including quest prioritization (it's not clear what is and isn't a sidequest vs a main story quest), and the combat is extremely button-mashy without much of a rotation that I can tell. of course this could be incorrect, but I wouldn't know because asking for help resulted in 0 helpful people, and googling it results in endgame build guides which, as a new player, isn't helpful

Combat is fun, story is pretty cool, graphics are rad. The PC port is kinda memory-leaky, but the game itself is worth. Almost 80 hours in and I'm not to the endgame yet, and without resorting to Ubisoft-like tactics. That's enough to impress me!

I got this game for free and I still feel like it was a waste of money. Crashes due to GPU memory running out (despite me having a 3060ti with plenty of memory allocated and playing at modest graphical settings) and in order to get the game to not be a frame-dropping mess you have to first go in and disable the 2K launcher that comes equipped with the game. An absolute mess of poor optimization and poorer decisions.

Nothing I can say will further expound on why this game is worth your time, but I can certainly affirm that it is. If you enjoy action games, just play the game. Let it tell you its story. The less you know about it going in, the better.

Lot of people hate-spamming this game in the reviews for being too hard, but you can't even play the DLC until you've beaten one of the late-game OPTIONAL and arguably one of the most difficult fights in the game, Mohg. Guys. You can't get EASIER after that. What?

Stop for a sec. If you encounter a boss you can't beat, go in and try not to get hit. Don't even attack, just don't get hit. Pay attention to when you *could* hit, and how long you have to punish moves. After a couple runs of that, now start chipping that health bar away.

OH AND DON'T FORGET TO UPGRADE YOUR GEAR, SHEESH YOU GUYS a +2 Carian Longsword is NOT STRONG ENOUGH

This game is busted. Absolutely jank. At this point though, I have to say that it feels more like a feature than a bug. The absolute madness that you get to witness only heightens the enjoyment of playing the game. It really shouldn't be taken too seriously; it's a good time, and that's all it needs to be.

Despite the technical nonsense you're sure to encounter from time to time, this game is an absolute blast. There's so much to creating your build, and Night City is a masterclass in world building. CDPR has a lot to apologize for with this one, but damn it if they didn't release a classic that only gets better the more you play it.

Best Terminator game that has come out in the history of video games, which I realize isn't a super high bar but you can honestly see and feel the love that went into making this game. It's a love letter to fans, even if the game itself doesn't do much to innovate. It honestly is worth your time though.
