Yes. Do it. You'll hate yourself, you'll hate the game, you'll hate that-was-obviously-the-controller-slipped. You'll hate everything until you're nothing but a hallow husk of desperation and loathing. And then, in a moment of absolution and exhausted elation, you'll win.

If you're a fan of the Souls games, this is a Souls game. If you're new to the Souls series (Demon's / Dark 1 & 2) then this will be a glorious rage inducing how-could-anyone-like-this-omg-why-did-I-buy-this thing that you will probably give up on in the first hour or two. The trick is to come back in a week, or a month, or a year, sit down, and convince yourself you're finally going to figure out what the hell everyone's been raving about.

tl;dr Dark Souls 2, get it and git gud.

WHY DON'T YOU HAVE THIS YET? Do you like action-platformers? Exploration games? Building games? Does a 2D Minecraft with sweet combat and RPG elements sound appealing? Buy this shiz! Hours of fun and awesome play, for a steal~

TL;DR - Nintendo hard. Buy this game if you think you're hardcore enough for that.

Spirit of Metroidvainia in a 3rd person action RPG. The plot and lore and subtle and well intigrated, almost hidden, in the game world. The freedom of builds, gear, and playstyles are wonderful. The tightness of the controls (with gamepad, at least) are as vital as your reflexes using them...

But that's not what you really want, is it? You want brutally challenging but ultimately fair and oooohhh-soooo-satisfying? Dark Souls is your game. It will make you cry. It will make you laugh. It will make you rage. It might very well drive you hallow, but every moment of it is worth it.

BUY. THIS. GAME.
If yu even remotely sometimes occasionalyl enjoy an action-rpg-hack-n-slash-lootstravaganza, ala Diablo 1 and 2 (NOT 3) then there is absolutely no excuse not to get this. 4 amazing classes with multiple spec options each,Internet, LAN, and offline-single-player modes, and an active community along with modding support. You really can't go wrong with this game unless you don't like the genrea at all, and if you don't know if you do or don't, grab it, it's an amazing introduction!
I am so very very late with this review, but here it is.

Do you like zombies? Of course not! Nobody likes zombies. Get this game, and kill a metric f***-ton of zombies. How much is a f***-ton of zombies? A freaking lot. How should you kill them? That's up to you! 7 different classes, dozens of different weapons and loadout combinations. If you're looking to team up with some friends and make sure a bunch of zombies stay dead this time, this game is highly reccomended.

A delightful, saterical, sarcastic, self-aware, and funny, turn based (you move -> they move -> you move -> they move) rogue-like. If having big eyebrows, and kicking, smashing, slashing, magicking, and otherwise reducing colorful critters to puddles of gibs is your thing, definitely worth the price.

What can I say about dungeon defenders? If you like tower defense games, or action RPGs, or even better, both, this is a must-have game. *Hours* of fun, for a great price, and a fully supported dev-kit for infinitely more stuff. Find an excuse to grab this one, you don't even need an excuse, just get it!
