Hidden gem! I've had this game in my library for many years (13 years?!), but never bothered to try it because of the awful banner and logo (sorry not sorry) which doesn't represent the game in any good way. Today I clicked the game just because "wth is this?" and after just seeing 1 screenshot I was sold.

It's fun, creepy and kinda cursed. Hooked me in real good, encouraging trying different weapons, exploring and dealing with enemies in different ways.

One of my best purchases this year. I want more!

No reason to Click when the passive automatic damage is always 100x or more than your clicking (active) damage. That also use the clicking items pretty useless and a big part of tech tree.

Also, you will be disappointed when reaching the end.

As soon as I unlocked the final chest, it died instantly to passive damage. I was hoping for something more difficult to open. Then I had to open that chest another 50k times which took a couple hours of idle play (All upgrades instant opening it). Not fun.

Kind of enjoyed it in the beginning and it was addicting, but in the end it was just a pain and glad it's over.

A lot better than expected. Fun campaign. Played it once without DLC on one character, then again with another character + DLC content. Still more game modes to explore. Definitely worth to pick up on a sale.

Audio is messed up. Pull down all the sliders but the "cinematics" are still at full volume. Beware!

Too scary, I had to stop playing

It was in some ways super cool, but cross-platform is broken all the time so haven't been able to play with mah friend :( And now the whole PSN account situation, you know what it is

Would make cutscenes skippable, other than that I love it and could see it being expanded on even more. Make sure to play the "secret level" after you beat the campaign.

Came back to play after 6 months and my server was closed -> My company gone and all my personal banked gold lost (500k+)

(2023-11-22) Really solid foundation of a game. However, can explore everything it has to offer and get best gear in less than 8-12h. Then there's no point in continuing the "loop".
After you beat the boss (or find the hole) on layer 2, you just repeat layer 2 again.

PS. If you're unlucky you might not even find Layer 2 and think Layer 1 is all there is in alpha. I almost did quit earlier.

Foraging feels pretty good. Mining feels very good.
I like the combat and the enemy types, although balancing seem a bit off.

The game description says you can merge and socket gems, but I see none of that. There's more that's not in game yet, but I guess the developer is simply sharing his goals for the full game.

Hope the development goes well! As for now, might as well wait for ~1 year of updates before playing again. Looks promising :)

If this was labelled as "Early Access" I might have been able to recommend it. The game does some things good, hence why I've played it plenty of hours. But if I knew about all the bad things I'll list below, I'd choose something else to buy.

• Very bad view distance, even on highest settings. Strange because this is about being out on the ocean looking out for islands and different objectives. Game even has binoculars.
• A ton of fish you can't hurt or interact with.
• Some thing that look very dangerous are completely harmless and no interaction (same as above).
• Some trees you can chop down, some you can't.
• Several items that are pretty much useless that you can gather several stacks of but you can only craft 1-2 things with, that you only need to craft once. And the game makes you think you'll unlock a lot more things to craft as you level up.
• Quite little raft options.
• Lots of inconsistencies.
• Zero feedback if you do something incorrect with the wrong tool or so.
• Fruit and vegetables never respawning so they can completely go extinct in your world. And they seem to be able to de-spawn as well if you get close to them, not see them and walk away. This can make it impossible to complete the story.
• Extremely minimal guiding + random generated world layout = You might end up like me who basically unlocked everything, built everything, maxed my skills, found 90% of islands before finding any story progression/bosses.
• Flying pigs, erratic animal movements, weird melee hitboxes.
• Bosses can re-spawn while you are fighting them.
• A useful world map in the main menu that you can't access is in the actual game while playing.
• Bad story (almost no story).
• Useless furnitures that could easily have added features.
• Got pretty grindy and repetitive quickly due to lack of content and story elements.
• Why are there not metal tools but you can build metal houses? And why is there an achievement to build 10 metal furnitures, but the only metal furniture to build are 1 table and 1 shelf (both purely cosmetic lul).
• Sucky keybinding system for binding tools to hotkeys (I ended up not using it at all).

OK. It basically feels unpolished and not fully complete. I still enjoyed the little progression there was; building my first own raft, getting strong enough to repeatedly kill sharks and try to get some achievements.

I guess since this has been in early access since 2015(?) and fully released 2021 I don't have any hope to fix any of this. Fingers crossed though ^^ I think there are more recently developed games that are better.
