I'm old enough to still remember when I first bought and ran through the first Mass Effect game back in late 2007 and how much this game just hooked me in. I bought every DLC and game after that moving forward. I've read through a ton of the lore from each race, main characters, and events that happened in game to better understand the series as I played along. I still remember doing my first ever insanity run of the trilogy in mid 2013 right after the Citadel DLC launched and how playing through the whole trilogy back to back to back on the hardest difficulty brought me to tears once I got the end of Mass Effect 3 because of how immersed I was.

I usually try and do a play through of this game once every few years just because of how much I love and praise this trilogy. Outside of the missing Pinnacle Station DLC from Mass Effect 1 (which is available as a mod on Nexus Mods), this is a fantastic remake of the original trilogy. The base game looks just as good as my modified version of the original trilogy. All the QoL improvements are so very welcomed! It's brining back one of the greats, the way I think it should be done, and we still have plenty of mods so you can do even more with this trilogy now that ever.

If you're still on the fence about buying this game and playing it through, I'll leave you with this. It's currently early 2026 when I'm writing this, over 20 years since Mass Effects was first teased back in 2005 at X05, and there are very few games nowadays that hold a candle to any of the Mass Effect games, let alone the whole trilogy. You get some of the best music and sound design, mixed with some of the most memorable and interesting characters of any game, and a main and side story that keeps you on the edge of you seat the whole time. While no game is perfect, this trilogy ticks all the boxes for me personally. I seriously can't recommend this gaming experience enough to anyone. It's well worth the money and the hours that will get sunk into it!
