Excellent game. Not the biggest budget but that is made up for by the obvious love the developers have for the Terminator franchise. Plays like a fun version of Fallout, some very clever uses of grenades and excellent using the licence. If you love the films, especially the first two, this is an essential purchase!

One of the most in-depth wrestling games ever made.
Fantastic modding community, with steam workshop support for CAWs.

Yes, it has it's limits with match types and issues with the Promoter DLC, but this is the best wrestling game on PC and I very much doubt it'll be topped unless someone resurrects the No mercy engine for a new game, somehow!

The best character action game ever made, full of nods to early great arcade games (A thank you to SEGA for funding it?) and near-perfect combat.

This game is the perfect tribute to the classic on the NES. Just enough to feel like the original did, but packed so full of new characters, features, animation frames and music that it also feels like a truly fresh experience.

If you have any love for the classic fight me do, add this game to your collection. It's a labour of love and it shines that fact out of every pixel.

Right, cards on the table; I played DOOM on shareware in the '90s.
Thanks to PCs being expensive, I next played Ultimate DOOM and DOOM II on PSX. Same goes for Final DOOM.
Myself and my friend could not get enough, always playing it on the hardest difficulty we could (ultra violence - what do you expect? It was an FPS with a D-Pad!).
Years later, I finally get a laptop and the first thing I put in the CD drive? Doom Complete Collection.
DOOM 3 comes out. Won't run on my PC, so I get the Xbox version.
It's good, but it's not what I wanted.

A few years later, Brutal DOOM comes along. I go through all the classics again, with touched up graphics, and all the fun stuff it added like executions.

Now? Now we have DOOM 2016. From the footage shown I thought I'd like it. What I didn't expect was for the campaign to be as close to perfect as can be managed, taking into account console limitations.

I haven't played much MP, btw. It's like Halo 2, if it had loads of blood and only took place indoors.
Snap Map feels a bit half-assed, but the limitations are forcing users to be creative and there's fun to be had in there.

The campaign, which I played on Ultra-Violence, though... Well it's DOOM II, modernised. I cannot give it higher praise. Each fight is a masterfully choreographed ballet, each new weapon adding a step to an ever more complicated dance routine.
It's almost hypnotic, and it is beautiful in it's own twisted, blood-soaked way.

You need this game in your life. This is what a FPS should be.

Game should have been lbelled Early Access.

Crashes, bugs out, low or no sound effects.
Game uses left analogue stick despite being 2D and if you try to change controls it ignores what you've choosen and flips up and down regardless of your input.

Devs are silent, and the whole thing is amateurish. A little bit of openness about the state of the game would've went a very long way.

AVOID THIS GAME. IT IS IN AN ALPHA STATE.

Let me preface this by saying I've been playing MGS since the series debuted on PSX. The premise of the story isinteresting; experience Big Boss's middle years that led to the creation of Outer Heaven, and his ultimate reveal as an enemy of the West in Metal Gear 1. The prospect of experiencing a legend's apparent fall from grace is a tantalising one.

Sadly, KojiPro forgot to put a story in. Instead, they've spent their time on little things, like severing power cables and making your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on command.

This should've been a classic we would speak of in reverent tones in years to come, instead it's a mis-step. This isn't MGS. This is an open world action game, and aside from enemy encampments and bases and the occasional wild animal or patrol, the world is deader than Bob Geldof's imagination.
Being forced to be online and lose stuff from players attacking your base is stupid. As is Konami charging real cash to insure your stuff. You can't farm materials, in an effort to encourage you to raid people, so thatg more will want the insurance.

MGO3 is just a generic online TPS shooter, not a patch on MGO2.

I wanted to love this. The voice acting is amazing, and what little story there is, is fascinating. Particularly Emmerich's arc!
The game just takes too many mis-steps. Story stuff is hidden, missions are too short, or boring. Once you've sussed the AI, there is no challenge. I still play MGS3, and I feel the soldiers in that are smarter than the ones in this.


A disappointment all around.
