Final Fantasy VII is nothing short of the greatest gaming experience I have ever and likely will ever have. The beautifully constructed narrative, the gripping characters and the ways in which they grow, and the haunting environments that build the world you must save all come together to create a masterpiece.

This game carries so much weight and promise and fulfills all its goals and ambitions. In more ways than one, the ambition that was poured into this game transfers to the players, in a way. The passion that goes into the creation creates passions that go right back into said creation. Final Fantasy VII perfects that concept. It is ultimately a story about hope and triumph. A story about love, and the many ways it heals.

Without going on too long a tangent, it's sufficient to say that Final Fantasy VII is my favorite video game of all time. It's my favorite story of all time, and its impact on my life will live with me for years to come.
