Weeb Mario party, but the mini-games are usually you beating the snot out of other players unless you have actual mini-games turned on.
It's really fun, and you can make do with base characters, though the DLC character are a lot more fun.
Enjoy making and breaking friendships.

EDIT AS OF 05/04/2020:

TL:DR near bottom.

With the release of 100 cap, I would like to amend and add to some aspects of my review, but the gist of the review shall stay the same. I really don't recommend going into this game unless you really like KMMORPGs (i.e. heavy RNG based grindfests that drive the average person insane.)

As someone who has spent a sizable (2-3k Hours, both on and off steam), this is not a game for the faint of heart or those who enjoy consistent linear progression. While the leveling progression of the game is pretty fun, the characters and skillsets they possess are beautiful, its when it truly matters that everything you work for seems to just become useless, obsolete, and you get thrown to the side like trash.

With the implementation of the 100 level cap, reaching that level is quite an endeavor. The fatigue system devised by the team limits a person's playtime for 1 character, as to curb video game addiction rampant in Korea, China, etc. This also means the average person will always have more than one character to play on. This is not inherently a bad thing, as pacing oneself is important, and something I'm cool with.

When you reach the endgame, and reach the grinds and raids it comes with it, THAT is when the game goes downhill. Most raid groups seek only the strongest geared characters, those who possess full sets of Epic tier equipment and accessories to be their comrades in the battle against some of the most intense boss fights devised by team Neople.

Seems OK, as item levels are important in any raid based MMOs. The problem, then, becomes the acquisition of said gear. Grind for Epic Sets is HELL (haha, hell party farm.) With a mobile-gacha-game-tier probablity of drops, it becomes neigh impossible to get entire sets in a reasonable amount of time (compared to other mmos), unless you have suckled on the teats of RNGesus or made a deal with the devil. (NOTE: New Hell Mode for grinding Epics are called Guide Stones now, so you're guided to the nearest slot machines for your grinding convenience.)

Sure, you can farm for the legendary tier sets (1 tier down), but unless you got a static group, good luck getting into a public party. Oh, did I mention the game also relies on a PEER-TO-PEER CONNECTION? Using the state-of-the-art technology from 2003, you can enjoy the game at a sizzling 200 ping all because someone in your party is playing all the way from China or someone's connection is being throttled by someone in the family torrenting cat videos.

One last point on join public parties, PAID RUNS. For the low low price of 800k to 1mil gold, you can pay a group of mega-giga-whales (people who spend their entire savings account on the game) to carry you to victory against the hardest bosses in the game. Don't worry, you can make back that gold on your other 5 characters.

Oh, and don't worry about joining if you don't know how to do a mechanic first try. Provided you have read a guide on the fights already, you'll see that most bosses in the raids and harder dungeons have a marvelous variety of one-shot mechanics. The game is extremely unforgiving when it comes to failing these, with either you or your team dying when you fail do them properly. If you're EXTREMELY lucky, a nice party member will be there to politely explain how to do a mechanic in its finer details. Otherwise, expect heavy flaming or Chinese profanity. So all you "blind prog" fans who enjoy having a good time with potential friends, you are automatically on everyone's ♥♥♥♥ list. NO FUN ALLOWED, CLEAR PARTY ONLY, KNOW MECHS OR KICK, you get the idea.

Most of these harder dungeons and raids do have a simplified solo mode or easy mode, so go practice in them, if you're more of a hands-on learner. However, be prepared, as the real deal may have altered and stronger properties. These Guide-Mode dungeon/raids also have reduced/inferior drops compared to the real deal, and also count towards your weekly entries, which are limited.

All in all, the grind just feels like chinese gold farm level, and I can't really enjoy myself as I watch my teammates melt boss' health with sparkling gold gear, all the while I sit on the sidelines occasionally buffing and debuffing. It just feels like the challenge of the game becomes how long will it take to get my Epic set.

TL:DR: If you like Korean MMOs, with its heavy grind, rng, farming, gold farmers, paid to get carried, etc. please, go play and enjoy yourself, have fun :)
Otherwise, don't play.

P.S. (This is according to my friends who go hard on this game, so I'm not 100 percent sure, please do your own proper research, don't take this seriously without concrete evidence.) During level 95 cap, the game actually have a pretty good linear progression system, and I actually enjoyed myself for a hot month or so. Turns out, 100 cap brought back the RNG, allegedly because the Koreans actually hated the linear progression and wanted their RNG Gacha back. Absolute madlads.
