Really interesting game. Lots of choices to make. To me this is less about strategy (there's a lot going on, but the game rightly holds your hand through a lot of it) as it is immersion and shaping the game world. If you're stupid or illiterate you probably won't like this game as there is a lot of text, but I like the game's story. Main negatives for me are that it runs really hot on my laptop and I'm not really sure yet what the point of the different timelines is yet as it feels a little repetitive in places. Still, I was like 20 hours in when that became a thing at all. Will be playing around with it more to figure out the 'endgame' stuff.

Interesting turn-based roguelike take on basketball. There are a few areas that were a little confusing to me at first, but I'm enjoying it so far. There is some hidden depth in the mechanics, and there are many available perks (and eventually, team compositions) which can change how you play the game. I do think the game can do a better job of communicating what's going on and explaining mechanics, but it's early access and is in active development, so I'm sure it will improve.

Liking this game so far. Nice art, and it has a turn based tactics layer where you combine guys to make other guys. It's fun to try and find all the different combos, and combining also helps you pull of certain plays because it refreshes your moves. Once the train leaves the station (hopefully with your guys on it), it turns into a reverse bullet hell, and your choices in the tactics layer will affect this mode. I kinda like this because some tactics games can start to feel very deterministic, and this introduces a little bit of chaos.

There are a couple areas which might need some work, understandable because the game is still in development. Some perks seem pretty uneven in power level, and sometimes upgrading your guys (when you don't know the outcome) feels like a downgrade. For instance, the lock-on missiles character seemed like a dud when I used them. And while the demo definitely shows off the game flow, it might be nice to get a little more flavor from the transitional stuff like the game over screen, or to see some extra crumbs of lore sprinkled in places.

Lastly... and this is a small nitpick, where's the station? It would be nice if you could see it approaching on the overland view, but right now, when you travel a certain distance the bullet hell segment just ends.

This is a really excellent game. At first it just seems like an arcadey shoot-em-up but the longer you play, the more you can appreciate the many layers of strategy. In addition to resource management and fine tuning your ship builds, it becomes important to make strike groups, and command missiles and air wings to keep up with the swarm of missiles and planes sent your way.

Even more important is spotting enemies before they see you, and there's robust systems for signals intelligence--radar helps you see other ships, but just like in real life, it also emits signals that can be picked up by someone else! You can also spy on and decode radio transmissions to figure our where enemy ships and transports are going on. The map includes tools like rules and compasses to help you keep track of everything. In general the UI is excellent as it's very "skeumorphic"--the radio interface feels like tuning a radio, etc.

The game gets quite challenging the closer you get to Khiva. Garrisons field bigger and better armed ships, heavily armored strike groups supported by missile and aircraft carriers are constantly trying to hunt you down, and repairs and fuel costs start to strain your resources.

The game does get a little forgiving about a few things at the normal difficulty: you can retry fights in exchange for a modest morale penalty, you can retry landing in the docks for free, and you can buy and sell things more or less at cost. For some reason there's no option to retry anything when it comes to missile defense, and one unlucky hit can take out an entire ship, but that makes running aircraft really important (so you don't end up trying to intercept the missile where it can actually hit your ships).

Overall I was quite sucked in by this game and had a great time with it.

May be the best Creeper World I've played so far. Adds some of the complexity from CW2 back to the top-down perspective of CW1. Much more of a challenge than CW1 (which was a 'chill' game in comparison), but it can be rewarding to figure out some of the harder maps.

Pretty bold sequel that fully changes the perspective of the game while keeping a lot of core concepts intact. Compared to the first game the later missions can be very challenging, although you can still have a "chill" time of it once you stabilize against the main threats in many maps. My one gripe is that some missions seemed to require a very specific solution to solve, while the game is at its best when you have some room to experiment with options.

Still holds up despite its age. Nice simplified take on RTS, almost "chill" at times because you can stalemate against the creepers for awhile, but the difficulty is just about right as it can be quite challenging to manage break through in the later maps.

Got really hooked on this game for a couple days then cooled off on it, I think I ran out of new things to do. Fun but gets a little repetitive after awhile.
