Dear heavenly blessed beauty, I have been staring at your profile picture speechless and in awe for the past hour or so. did you know that when the opossum was originally discovered in the UK, it was dubbed the possoum meaning "climbing marsupial"
however, when the US threw a tea party, they no longer wanted to have the british "ou" in the name and went to name it possum. possum was already taken by another species so they moved the o to the start of the word instead
