I just finished this game and I already miss Night City.

Nah. This ain't it.

For a while I kept thinking all I had to do was finish one more quest, or get to one new area, and then the game would finally, FINALLY open up and really start to click. It never did. The galaxy is so big and yet the game feels sterile and empty, like butter scraped over too much bread.

I've never experienced such bland and flavorless world building. Gigantic mining stations sit less than a mile from unguarded and easily accessible alien ruins, and yet no one has ever explored them. I could accuse the world building of being written by AI, but honestly I think ChatGPT would come up with something more coherent and interesting on the first try. What on earth was their creative team even doing all those years?

The game has no charm or character to it whatsoever. Not a single artistic idea that will resonate long term in the collective consciousness of pop culture. Not even an "arrow to the knee" line of dialogue. There's just nothing.

This game constantly wows me and surprises me, and I will think about it for the rest of my life.

Every dirtbag who has ever enjoyed firing a gun in a video game should make time to play this game.

My only complaint is that this game should have been called Hell Train.

True successor to DoomRL and a great roguelike, can't recommend it enough.

Good game getting better with every update.
