I've only played a couple of hours of ES2 but it's beautiful to play. The UI is very elegant and simple, though at first maybe a little bewildering. I love the way you can zoom in on planets and then zoom out into star system and galaxies.

The only slightly jarring thing IMO is the cheesy synth pop music which I swear is also used on myRide virtual spin classes! So playing the game makes me feel like I'm at the gym. LOL

There is one way Civ VI is superior to Civ V, that is barbarians. They are more hostile than before and are much harder to pacify. Barbarians double down in Zombie Defence, a true tower defence mode for Civ VI. Along with Apocalypse mode, you are able to play tall in Civ VI in challenges unseen in previous entries to the Civ franchise.

The standard game is increasingly unsuitable for multiplayer. The single player game is where Civ VI shines. Deity (the hardest level) is now easier to play as the AI rarely builds a fleet or an air force.

Oh, but did I say I love playing the zombie apocalypse?!

Apart from the poorly thought out sponsors (or civilizations) Beyond Earth is the best designed game in the Civilization franchise IMO. Firaxis have streamlined the civ playing experience in trade, diplomacy, war & peace negotiations. It makes for a much better multi player game.

I can't wait for C:BE2!!
