Not windjammers.

While some of the changes like implementing duos, having a different shielding mechanic and everything are welcome, it doesn't translate the spirit of windjammers. I've played windjammers at lightning fast speed over kaillera netplay with 50ping. This game just doesn't translate the concept well due to the camera being terribly placed, to the point it breaks the concept of velocity and tracks the player too much, causing a load of confusion.

Nice attempt, nice execution on the graphics department (don't like the character design though), but bad execution of the concept.

If it ever gets better, I will change my review but this is what you get in this game.

Loot spawns disappear: You saw a gun? Gun's not there anymore when you reach it.
Run around the place and find.... absolutely nothing for the most part. Maybe the gun dispensers came as an idea because they couldn't do proper loot tables.
First one to sight wins the fight. Despite my initial belief that moving mechanics like the combat roll would make fights exciting with longer, creative fights, the truth is that I was killed while doing an airborne roll. People die way too quickly considering it's not a long range game.

Let's not get into the technical problems. Lack of textures that might pop in after 1 minute at staring at it, not being able to play with friends, bad overall performance and green flickering on fullscreen.

I just don't get how you don't do a CBT to iron out blatant issues when your first studio game died because of lack of population. Are they trying to become a meme?

This game doesn't deserve the sales and loyal playerbase it has

It is the living proof of gaming stockholm syndrome. It's a game featuring a plethora of issues, one of them being clientside hitreg which I completely loathe. The servers are so unstable that for 7 months they haven't included a simple ping indicator to prevent you from knowing how bad these issues are.

They're attempting to cater the streamers and issue manual bans "just because", and they still pretend this game is eSports material by taking early money from the people playing it.

My main gripe with the game is how terribly optimized it is. You'd think they'd incorporate the top of the line coders to supply for the needs of proper streaming of assets in a way it doesn't make a high spec computer drop below 40fps at some points. I don't care about a new map, if the game still plays like utter garbage in the important situations.


They don't deserve their playerbase.


Update (29/05/2018): I better stop talking ♥♥♥♥ about the game, PUBG corporation might sue me.

The mod just got better.

Source engine left a lot to be desired for the scope of this game. But this experience is certainly worth the pricetag

Can't really recommendate it because it's dead community wise. But the concept they built back in HL1 as a mod really shines in the source version
