Oh, I have to actually type something here? Ok... yeah, it's good and fun. Pretty difficult, but such is the nature of challenges. Adapt, improvise, overcome and all that fun stuff. The feeling you get when you actually start snowballing and getting stronger and stronger is so good due to just how easy it is for your run to end at the drop of a hat. Or a boulder. Or hell, just starvation! Yeah, that's my one gripe with this game. Over 90% of my runs have such a scarcity of food that I mostly die of starvation. I hope they tweak the numbers and make food a bit more common than it currently is.

This little gem is TONS of fun! Granted, it is in Early Access, so the content is pretty limited and the bugs are plentiful, but it's still well-worth the price for the quality it's standing at.

Having played this on mobile back in mid-2023, I can say I greatly enjoy this game.
The mobile version was worse in every capacity. It had no story, and it had very little challenge. By just watching dozens of 30s ads, I could max out my backpack and take as many items as I wanted.

Backpack Hero is genuinely fun with cute, adorable animal characters that have charming dialogue and pleasing, pixel-style graphics that keep the game looking good and performing well simultaneously. The gameplay is easy to understand and I find trying new strategies is exciting and rewarding.

Not much more needs to be said. This game is worth its price!

It's cute, it's funny, and it's got all the best puns, jokes, and cheesy pickup lines you can possibly imagine, and then twice as many more on top of them. My favorite is "Is that a mirror in your pocket? Because I can see myself in your pants." Also Bearverly is best girl, fight me.

I always wanted a pet Diplodocus

This game is still in beta. There's lots of bug, crazy interactions, and clunky UI that will hopefully be worked on in time. The best thing about this game is how random each encounter is. Sometimes you can identify a ghost in under a minute, and sometimes you could spend over an hour looking for just a 2nd piece of evidence. Playing with friends makes the game even more enjoyable, you can get up to all kinds of shenanigans together and make each experience even more unique.

If you have at least one close friend or you don't mind jumping from lobby to lobby until you don't get kicked within 0.07 seconds for no reason, this game is definitely worth it for the fun experiences you just might have in it.

The atmosphere is great, the lore is intriguing, and the creatures are amazing. The only thing that could have improved it is adding a silent timer on Hardcore mode where you die from infection after so many days.

It's been quite a long time since my initial review, and just as I had hoped, the game has improved significantly. The current stable build at the time of writing is very fun, with lots of helpful features, amazing wildlife, stunning scenery, and fantastic concepts. The modular Sea Truck is my new favorite feature. It combines the portability of the Seamoth with the interior capabilities of the Cyclops. I almost could not stop playing today because of how much fun I was having here. I will anticipate every future update with ardent excitement!
