Very creative and unique demo!
Really enjoyed both confusing world and story, the character interactions of course being the highlight of the show.

The game is very fast paced movement shooter with unique mechanics that create one of the most memorable and fun game experiences to date.

Single player campaign is rather short, yet still provides some rather interesting levels/chapters that are pretty unique and exciting. Downside of the single player for me was the main character's responses, which were unfortunately subpar and lowered the awe of the moment, as well as its short length and the fact that newly introduced game mechanics are being thrown out in the next chapter.

Multiplayer, knowing that this game has been released for almost a decade, is difficult. The variety of weapons, titans and abilities is extremely good and all of them behave differently, opening endless amount of combinations to try out. Progression system is not painful, but can be slightly annoying when you want to use the weapons outright. Downsides of multiplayer for me was the number of cheaters, small number of unique maps, no support for community servers (not counting unofficial Northstar client) and generally incredibly painful skill ceiling that you need to enjoy this game while playing against people who spend all their time honing their skill.

Overall, I had a great time playing the game, but I wouldn't trust EA of all companies to keep the plug on this game for long. The game is definitely worth grabbing if on sale, yet I wouldn't pay full price for it.

Very interesting art style combined with sick soundtrack and fun mini games? Sounds like a recipe for success to me!

Despite the Demo version being relatively short, it shows the general direction that can be expected from the game in the future. And so far, I love what I see!
Really enjoyed playing this Demo. Can't wait for the game to release!

I loudly applaud vanripper for accurately representing how it feels to be a lesbian in 2024 by implementing the infamous "Hard mode".

Jokes aside, the game is an absolute blast. Characters are very likeable, levels are nicely stylised and the general art direction is super awesome!
The only problem with the game is a lot of flashing colours and a ton of moving objects which can potentially provoke seizures in certain players, it would be nice to have a disclaimer at the launch.
Other than that, the game was extremely fun to play, and thanks to the developers passion towards level and character design, was an absolute joy to look at.

Short version:
This revision of the game is significantly more polished than original game and introduces more content to explore, although the newly introduced levels lack polish and get boring really quick because of that.
This will be a negative review. My reasoning for it would be: "If I can't recommend this game to my friends, then I can't recommend it to anyone."

I want to apologize to any fans of this game, as a negative review may upset you. (I will make sure to allow comments to this review, but please be respectful and civilized.)
Before long version, I will clarify that this review does not contain spoilers of any kind.

Long version:
After I played the first game I got really invested into the world of Psychopomp. Because of that, I've waited for this game with high anticipation and with all teasers released on social media I was ready to buy the game on the first day it comes out.
My experience with the game highly varied depending on progression, so I will separate this review onto three parts: Original levels, New levels and Aftertaste.

Good old, now better!
All of the old levels were given decent visual upgrades - higher texture definition, NPCs have new animations. Some levels even feature new gameplay elements or secrets that were not present in the original version of the game. I really enjoyed replaying old levels and seeing those changes in action.

New levels.
For the most part, new levels were fairly decent. One of the things that you may notice right out of the gate (or rather right out of the elevator) is that all new levels are significantly larger in size than original ones. This is this game's both greatest upgrade, and greatest flaw.
And, while some of the maps manage to utilize the bigger space to pack it with new stuff to explore, as we progress through the game - levels become longer and, with the slow speed of the player, traversing the map becomes a chore. How can I enjoy all the new and interesting additions to the game if I'm already incredibly bored by the time I reach them? Additionally, later levels of the game may require a lot of backtracking from the user, and with the bigger maps I simply couldn't care less and tried to make my way out of every level ASAP.

This issue becomes most prominent on the last level before the ending:
Huge map - thus long time spent walking.
Too much in one map - thus problematic navigation, thus more time spent walking.

Because of that, for me personally, new random-appearing levels were hugely more enjoyable than the actual levels; which I think is completely outrageous in comparison to older levels, where transient locations were more of an appetizer in between of main levels.

Although, I must note that all levels are incredibly visually pleasing. I can take endless amount of screenshots and use them as wallpapers!

Aftermath.
I have mixed emotions regarding this new revision of the game.
I feel like developer did a really good improvements in regards of the visual aesthetics of the game (improved ending left me absolutely stunned and I can't wait for a new game!), introduced a lot of new and fun content but at the same I can't shake the feeling that the level structure design was not play-tested enough and/or wasn't prioritized enough. And due to this issue becoming more prominent closer to the ending, the game leaves a bitter aftertaste which, while insignificant, manages to change my opinion on it as a whole.

All things said, I still like the game. I really do.
But the issue is that I'm asked if I can recommend this game or not; and if my friend would ask me that - then I, unfortunately, wouldn't be able to recommend it to them.

Прекрасная игра,которая заставит вас рыдать от смеха и не разорит ваш кошелёк! Можно играть как с друзьями так и одному, ибо встроенный голосовой чат позволяет с головой окунуться в глубокую атмосферу этого шедевра. Люди, играющие в эту игру, очень интересные. Порой доводится слушать споры про причине национальности между украинцами и русскими, поляками и американцами. Вощемта игруха 12/10. Обязательно буду играть дальше. Амогус
