Why is physics the end-all for these games? If you want real-tier physics, go play MX Bikes or Sim.

MX vs. ATV Legends is rough around the edges (I agree with complaints about audio and customization) but it's still FUN. The tracks and environments are huge, detailed and full of character. The racing is hilarious (watching the AI whiskey throttle off track and go flying/ragdoll into space is too good) and with the right camera setup feels fast. The new custom first person camera is one of the best I've seen in any arcade MX game.

I didn't know that the upgrades were in the "Tuning" section of the garage, so if you're struggling with races definitely prioritize upgrading your bike. Before upgrading, I thought I was playing the game wrong (casing every jump, missing corners, etc.) but after upgrading everything on track seems doable now.

Seriously, go set up a high FOV first person camera, upgrade your bike, and go explore one of the insane new free roam maps. Rainbow isn't pumping out the same bs every iteration like Milestone, they are actually trying new things and it's worthy of supporting.

Nothing touches this game in terms of a total package simulation. VR, terrain deformation, exemplary mod support, active community, fun multiplayer... the list goes on. If you're a fan of motocross, supercross, enduro, etc. and are willing to play through the (relatively tame) learning curve, this is a must-buy.

Disclaimer: I have few hours in the game on Steam because I funded it prior to it's Steam release. I would estimate my pre-Steam hours to be around 30 or so.

This is an extremely promising concept by a dev who cares about the subject matter. We can compare this all day long to Skate (the controls and physics bear similarities), but at the end of the day, this is a pretty compact demo of what hopefully becomes a stellar full release.

Is it worth your $10?

To answer that, you have to ask yourself a few other questions..

Do you want to support the dev and help fund the development of the full game?
Do you enjoy action sports games in general and want to continue seeing them pop up (the genre is pretty dead these days)?
Can you find enjoyment in the challenge of a steep learning curve?

I think there are more points that can be made about the price, but those are the ones I valued most when I chose to support the BMX Streets series.

At $10, I find the challenge, content, and future of this franchise worth supporting as an action sports and action sports games fan.

Perfect if you enjoy epileptic fits at 2AM, or are easily entertained by pretty flashing lights.
