even ignoring the insanely out of touch, overaggressive, and overpriced microtransactions, the underlying game just isnt even very fun, enjoyable, or well-made. they should unrelease this and put it out again in November 2026

having now finished the game with full, 100% completion, i can easily say that this is the sort of game i will be thinking about for the rest of my life. Silksong is an incredible experience of no peer.

mind boggling decision after mind boggling decision have left this game confused and stretched thin in desperate scrambles to retain players. a strong core plagued by bad ideas and absurd schemes.

insanely cool game with one of the worst meta-progression unlock systems i've ever experienced. being forced to do burner runs ad nauseam with only 0-1 new unlocks is terribly boring, especially when the shop system also locks main progression and basic features behind it. i'm deeply saddened.
