RPGs are innately weird as a vessel for storytelling because their protagonists are alien-brained kleptomaniacs with no knowledge of the world they were born into, so the game embraces this as the conceit of a bigger plot that ends up being a very good detective story on the whole

halo 2 isn't really that good but the rest of em are ok

you will never find a game whose whole is so much greater than the sum of its parts
