In the marbles of Heaven, carved in light,
dwell the Angels of still gaze,
their white wings are stained with shadow,
but their existence is beyond doubt and debate.

They know not the weight of human sin,
but the helplessness of their bonds.
To see pain without touching, to love without forcing,
to guide beyond sight, to guard from evil.

A sad fire burns in their eyes,
a reflection of ruined worlds,
silent prayers,
and wars that left no trace.

They are heralds of judgement, but also of mourning,
messengers of peace who drag chains,
because even in the highest Paradise
there are echoes of wars that leave no traces.

Their wings, as vast as centuries,
tremble when a child cries without cause.
They tremble when a kind soul is lost in the abyss.
They tremble when love turns to betrayal,
causing deep wrinkles of grief on their faces.

Sometimes they dream of falling, just to feel,
and experience all the human pain,
but their duty is to watch from the threshold,
eternal, beautiful..... and always far away...
