It's ok, defintely feels like this could've just been a free update with how minimal it is...

Kerststadt is pretty good to drive around as well as the Airport. Although Sonnstein is insanely bland and boring, it's just mostly steep hills and tight corners that AI busses won't hesitate to crash into you on.

Definitely not worth full price, but if you want a few hours of extra gameplay and liked the base game get it on sale.

Worth getting if you like the base game and want a few hours of extra content. They also added school busses with new stops to Seaside Valley as well which is a nice touch (you don't even need to own this DLC to access the new stops)

Definitely get on sale though, full price is a bit steep.

After having played Bus Sim 18 and 21 and seeing the same devs were working on a new game I thought I'd give this a try... I couldn't get more than 30mins into this game before stopping, and 15mins of that was tweaking graphics settings to make the game run well.

From what I've seen so far, this game is going to have somewhat of a story, which I'm against. I want to play the game and make my own network, not have to remember all these character's names and listen to their probably AI generated voicelines. The music is overly country themed and genuinely annoyed me so much I turned it down. They're definitely trying to go full american on us here

As for the actual gameplay, considering this is still a demo... It's meh. Acceleration and braking is definitely an improvement from their previous games, but everything else just feels somehow worse and clunkier. Camera angles are weird, the UI is too minimal yet cluttered at the same time. I found myself having to pause almost every 30 seconds to work out what "Button 7" is on my wheel. Force feedback is also broken, sometimes just completely disappearing. Basically if you want to do anything you're gonna have to look it up in the settings to try and work out what buttons to push. It's just frustrating to play.

Graphics are technically better than their last two games however it somehow feels more generic and lifeless, their previous games felt like they had an identity and that's just completely lost here. It feels like I'm playing GTA 4 with a graphics mod. It also suffers from really poor performance, on high settings I can just barely reach 60fps, I have a Ryzen 7 9700X and a 9060 XT, this shouldn't be happening. The demo is nearly 50GB which is absolutely absurd too.

Hopefully they make some serious changes before they consider this ready to release, although considering the buggy state of their previous games I'm not super hopeful. I'm scared to see the price tag for this one.

You get more Patrick Bannon, but other than that it's unfortunately not that interesting to play.

The other DLCs are way more worth the time and money.

Decent improvement from Bus Sim 18.

The traffic and pedestrian AI is loads better although still not perfect. Driving can be hit or miss, some busses drive like pirate ships while others are pretty enjoyable. This definitely feels less like a simulator and more like a game as a result though.

Route planning is massively improved with peak times and a load balance system, alongside timetabling. The UI is improved from Bus Sim 18 although still a little buggy to use, not as bad though. Unlike the last game the game time is constantly ticking, so busses you assign to routes actually drive around and you can take over any bus you want to at any time. The only thing is that when driving around yourself, AI busses spawn in a little too close, which can be jarring but not a huge deal. Earning money is also a little too easy but it is what it is.

The game has a new map which is good but I'm personally not a fan of it, they have also included the map from the last game too, which is mostly copy and pasted over but with all the new features of this game. Which is pretty good.


Overall it's worth getting but probably not for the price, definitely wait for a sale.

The game is good. FES has better visuals but the gameplay in Portable is probably better imo (mainly battles). The port though... is quite lazy. Compressed music, compressed sound effects and really ugly AI upscaled backgrounds. Which is a problem when the game is mostly a visual novel. It's entirely playable however, the FPS limit has been increased from 30 to 120 and most of the issues such as music quality can be fixed with mods.

Don't listen to the port beggars crying that FES wasn't ported. If you want to play Persona 3 there is nothing wrong with playing Portable, both games are great experiences in their own way. This is probably the best way you can play the game without emulation. That being said there's nothing wrong with choosing to play FES on PCSX2.

Probably the most unique game I've ever played. The gameplay is engaging and the devs did a really good job at making you feel like your choices actually matter.
I've seen a few people complain about certain game mechanics but thankfully you can just disable them at any time if you wish to with no story affects.

It is absolutely worth trying, especially for the price.
