ΔV: Rings of Saturn is kind of post dad game on steroids. There's kind of mundane part of mining ore from asteroids, there's just lot more on top of that. So short version of the review could be that if you like the mining, you should have patience to discover the rest.

First of all, while realistic physics simulation is quite hard to master, it's also what makes the mining fun. It's not for impatient people though as speed really kills. Autopilot makes movement much easier though and upgrading ship and equipment makes things even easier. Might have to watch the tutorial videos though, interface is quite confusing at first.

Speaking of ships and equipment. There's lot of tuning and tinkering possibilities. Ships can't be equipped with everything available, so you need to find good compromises. Most expensive doesn't always mean that it's the best thing out there. You might have to pick between efficient ore conversion and having factory that can make everything, so you can keep mining forever.

Maybe last thing I should mention is that the world has some lore and many opportunities that you just have to find by asking around and exploring. As far as I can tell, the story is not the main focus of the game. There's still some worldbuilding going on. There are some quests that you might discover, but mostly focus is on worldbuilding. Things could change though with the relatively frequent updates though. I'm already lagging behind quite few of them.

Game is not for everybody, but for us bit nerdier people who don't mind the learning curve, the game is quite enjoyable. Check the demo out if you're unsure if it's for you.
