It starts off like a normal city builder like we've seen before but don't let it fool you. I didn't expect the depth going in. The game just goes on, it keeps me engaged without being very strict in guiding me towards a goal, yeah I need to feed my people and keep them happy, but it's such a broad goal with many ways to go about it and optimize my city. Different ways to go about earning denaries which amazingly I learned sort of does the same for me as it does for my people, it's just a security, say that you have a bad crop year, well I can just buy a load of grain (which is also quite cheap thankfully) to feed my bakeries. And it makes my people happy from both just the food itself but also having the means to buy things.

I guess it also captures a perfectionist in me that wants to make sure my city works like a well oiled machine, much like if I would play factorio or something. I find the logistics quite fun...somehow I know I'm not able to fully optimize everything because I don't control everything, my citizens do their thing, but I can influence it in a lot of ways.

There are definitely some frustrations though. It's well optimized I feel like, I have kind of a potato PC at this point, 7 years old. The learning curve is ok for me but I can imagine not everyone would have the patience, maybe that's just ok, not every game is for everyone. The troop movement sucks right now haha, why are you going there when I told you to go there? Might just be that I need to learn more but it feels clunky and weird.

I'm really impressed anyway, it's super cool! Lots of fun. <3

I feel like there's a lot of replay value too, imagining different ways to play. Ok bye xD

It's a lot of fun, I can really recommend this game. Really well made, it feels balanced, I mean you can get insane combos that feel overpowered but in general it's not easy and it's fun to lose and play on harder difficulties.

I thoroughly enjoy this game, and it does feel like a proper game. The first map felt like playing half life some 18 years ago. It's not too fast-paced, some parts are quite calm and you can take in the atmosphere. But some parts are really action packed and fast paced, you'll spray and pray and hope to hit the freds running towards you. You move forward with teleportation so you don't have to sit and wait for the zombies to get to you and there are some light puzzle type experiences in the game, which are also a welcome relief from the action. Really well put together 4 hour campaign, would recommend.

The firewatch episode was great, standing around with the makers and listening to them explain the props while you're actually holding them yourself is awesome. MOAR please ;)
