Regarding the "offline mode" discussion in the reviews, they stated on their discord server the following:

"Our intention with this sentence was to convey that you can play with your friends remotely (online), or together in the same location using the same device (offline) through split-screen."

"Lastly, we hope this does not sound like an excuse, but English is not our first language, and sometimes we fail to realize when our phrasing might lead to misunderstandings."

The gameplay offers an enjoyable experience, with maps that boast unique features, enhancing the overall engagement factor. Even after you die, as a spectator you have something to do, by sabotaging the players that are still alive. Moreover, the characters are incredibly cute, and in my opinion, the game's negative reviews are undeserved.
