- 💀 You get to waste your time, test your sanity & be punished for trying the demo first 😐

⚠️ Even worse! ⭢ This redo time EATS INTO your REFUND-DECISION window ⭠ ⭠
⌛ You GET LESS TIME to consider: is the rest of the game EVEN WORTH KEEPING (??)

Actually, I haven’t gone past that point yet ⭢ am already burnt out. 🪦

✅ Fix: just add “CONTINUE FROM DEMO” menu UI option or "SKIP INTRO LEVELS"
Would save everyone a lot of table salt.

The new Shadow Generations part so far is sick,

Creative design choices, fun action, good looking environments

Kickass OST

The mind bending parts in the 3D shadow levels are breathtaking

Sonic part is pretty good - I never got to fully play the original generations game back in the day - it seems quality all around - the map designs back there are still some of the best in the franchise - packed with dense detail

It's cool that they added collectible chaos all with unique model and animation around each level hub area - really adds up charm

Only issue is that the Sonic part is limited to 60 FPS

All in all - A good package for any Sonic fan - This is well contained sonic game

Cool Premise so far -
I like what's the game going for - Rougelike Souls-Like FPS with immersive environments and satisfying gunplay

I feel like something binding all the game mechanics and setup is missing -

Player motivation is a bit too self directed - There's a missing element pushing the player forward to care about everything the game has to offer aside from challenge

Yeah blabla souls like abstract story that you piece together alone, Kill the witch, get more powerful right,

but there's a serious lack of narrative to glue everything together to care about why you are even playing - there isn't really an antagonistic villian you want to overcome aside being told so

IMO For improvement

Flesh out the whole chruch thing - What faction are you fighting for? why? - Make the player hate the witch with their guts right from the start

Better indication for critical hits\headshots edit: (I think this was added in a patch?)

The hub should feel more relaxing and open - like a hub not a maze - right now it feels like a mishmash of assets throwed together claustrophobically

Hub should include something to go back to aside stats - Maybe some kind of cute eldrich NPC companion you can evolve? or some kind of sane character living in this world to flesh it out?

An enemy back-log with lore or model viewer would be cool

You want a description based story - Who are all these enemies we are fighting? Sure they're cool looking but theres need to be a Why factor - Also to memorize different names and silhouettes

Fall Damage probably shouldn't be a thing, a supernatural witch hunter - you're gonna die from a little fall? feels unfitting for a movement shooter

I don't think just merely more maps\guns would do the game justice - There's need to be more depth towards interaction \ character development

Hub should probably be re-created with a different design choices - you can use it give a sense of progress in the game world (How about - Cut the Cathedral Roof - Make it open with the sky above? - Change the location from a cliff cave into something more spacous?

Make the witch balistra it to the ground to make you feel threatned - Make so enemies invade it and you need to fuel some kind of magical shield using resources from expedition, why are you even safe there? - do something to move the world you introduced

How about make big changes to the hub when the player does something significant (?)

Allow the ability to sleep\dream (Wtf is the sinner story all about?) for some kind of buff \ change time of day

Anyways, i've been looking forward to this ever since The Vanishing of Ethan Carter release day + also a fan of bulletstorm

Game holds HIGH potential but FAR FAR from complete, actually there is not too much content at the moment

More fleshed out motivations and some kind of directive story would be nice

Tech wise the game feels good and runs smoothly overall

- Co-op would be a cool addition

TLDR:
+ Good foundation
+ Game feels snappy and responsive
+ Nice Visuals & Performance
+ Cool Themes and artistic vision
+ Game holds potential to be something truely unique if they go all in

- Huge lack of content
- the roadmap for the game is 1 year - I don't think it's realistic judging by Epic games update release times

Looking forward for updates, the price they are asking right now is a bit high if you're not up for the early access ride

Wish the devs good luck hitting their vision (and the community's)

Fun to pass time with!

Actually funny Dry Humor from the protagonist, humorous and kinda creative environment story telling

Upgrades are satisfying to get - The minimal story \ writing are engaging enough

All around pretty polished chill game - would recommend if you have to pass time \ waiting for something \ watching something

Edit:
For DEVS - Maybe now that You have a budget - Switch the AI generated art stuff with something more humane and creative - all the human portraits are uncanny to look and feel out of place

Cool Idea that you can do -
Make an auto handsaw that you can cut down gold statues that are too big to be picked up in the levels - make this optional ofc

Lots of downgrades from the older RE2 Remake

Cut Content from original game

Not much if at all innovation in gameplay since RE2

Too much scripted events

Cool Environment Art, Good Mocaps

Capcom had the moneys and time to polish it - They still do - but decided to go for a cash grab release - Give the fans what they want

Something feels very rushed about the game in general - Get on a huge sale if you're fan or play a better RE game probably
