Game is a shell of what it used to be. I've been following it for around 4 years now. Really sad to see it fall down this rabbithole.

As I'm approaching the 500 hour mark I thought it would be a good idea to revise my review on DAYZ...

DAYZ is by far one of the most unique experiences of a game you'll find in all of the gaming market, whether you like the game or not. The biggest thing for me at least is how raw and real the experience feels. I've never had any game EVER make me feel genuinely sad for the death of an ally. This is usually because respawns are quick and you're able to still communicate with them upon their death. Well with DAYZ when you're with someone you met up with, and all of a sudden they get shot by a round from the forest, more than likely, you will never speak to that person ever again. They didn't get a dramatic end and most of the time you never get to say a proper goodbye before they're gone.

This also applies to killing other players. I've ALSO never had a game make me feel genuinely terrible for killing another player. Once you end someone's life they're gone, and there's nothing else like it. Gunfights are quick and fatal, with no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Bullets have genuine force behind them and even one to the chest from a proper rifle can be enough to end your life. Survival is fragile in DAYZ and you can feel the impermanence of everything so heavily. From the loot you posses to the people you're surviving with, there's no "forever". I've met some of the most memorable people in my gaming years on this game and it's raw and brutal experience is something no other game can give.

Game where you play as a small soldier among many, really fun and simple games with lots of maps and campaigns.

A really dark zombie survival game, with orgasmic combat mechanics.

What a Joy to play, honestly this game IS the best gun simulator on the market. The models are extremely well done, the dev to this is very passionate about this game, and gives amazing updates WITH dev logs. If you like guns buy this game. If you want an action packed shooter this is not it, this is a game where you shoot guns, lots, of guns.
