Very open 4x game in a galactic scale full of all the sci-fi clichés for you to pick and choose how to roleplay your nation.

If that wasn't enought, the modding community can provide both tweaks, additions or total conversions.

Only thing I don't enjoy as much is the endgame events, but the time when they start to appear and their strenght can be tweaked so it's not a big deal.

What can I say? Undisputed best city-building game.

It arrived at the moment we needed it most, it felt complete at the time of release, and they've kept adding to it and improving both with free updates and expansions that you can pick and choose how to customise your experience but never feel like you are missing out without them. If that wasn't enough there is a very healthy modding community that the devs openly support without trying to turn into a microtransactions store or anything like that.

As long as you like city builders for the city building and not the wacky stuff, you can't find better to this day.
