This is my first Tales of game, and prior to playing this i have only played ffxv, neptunia and persona for my jrpg fixes. From the start of the story to the bittersweet end of velvet crowe, the story kept me at my edge of my seat. Many aspects of the story kept me coming back for more. The times that i sympathize to the fate of the characters to the moments where they would joke around so casually. Many of the skits picture the characters as something more they are supposed to be. Moments of highs and lows, finding your own reason to fly and become your own person for the world. The bittersweet ending of velvet after losing so much in her daily life, still puts a pike through my hearts whenever i see the credits. Yet if it didnt make me feel that way it would’nt have been successful telling the story. This game is the entry point for me into the tales series and i wouldnt have it any other way.
