Right now its pretty performance heavy unfortunately, Held hyped for this game and only learned it came out today but only managed to get playable FPS after doing some Engine tweaking madness, and after that due to how much I had to tweak it looked pretty awful. Gameplay wise it felt alright though with blades around the peasant stage it felt like even if I blocked an attack if they even slightly clipped me I'd be torn in half.

Also oddly the performance issues affect the tavern menu too? Even though it appears that area isn't even a 3D space to be causing such problems, also were somehow fixed with some engine tweaking even if it made little sense. My biggest complaint is the damage sensitivity and how the physics feel a little unbalanced to the point swordplay feels optional if flailing around with little force is gonna cut just as deep as a perfect strike.

Update #1: Starting to just pick fights less on what I can beat but more on if they're gonna be on a map I have good performance on. Also getting frustrated with this inconsistent sudden death to the point I decide to try just using blunt weapons to avoid killing as many opponents so I can cheat death. But then apparently some of the guys who are actively looking at me and still flailing and moving count as dead cause I come back to 9 vengeful spirits out of nowhere once I die to a random blade tapping my waist and chopping me in half

Update #2: Performance has gotten a tad bit better, noticed a decent FPS improvement whenever I go into settings and hit save even if I hadn't changed anything. Hit consistency is still a bit unreliable at times with some weapons still hitting like a train when it wasn't a full force swing. Fixing weapons getting stuck on your own body was pretty huge since I grown to love using long weapons even if they're hard to swing. Half-way to full baron armor feels good at least, given the plated armor I have now I am not as worried about cheesing the death mechanic.

I would be open to changing this if performance updates come out and some tweaking is done to make combat more reliable and consistent instead of random instant death from a tap of a blade that didn't even have force behind it.

Trying my best to enjoy this game but its starting to become clear I can't really due to horrendous optimization. Spent quite a while to work this through the direct SteamVR link in quest. Whenever I looked up this games fixes all I get is "Use Air Link, Cut the middle man, Use Air link" or whatever, decide to bite the bullet but even then I have to find a way to manually launch it for Air Link since it auto launches in SteamVR for me.

After figuring out how to launch it with AirLink it still struggles to run albeit better than before yet still suffering the same issues. Gameplay feels clunky and I couldn't even use my shoulder holsters. Even worse whenever I try to open the AirLink Menu everything just dies and becomes a visual clutter where I have to manually exit the game from my PC or just shut down my Oculus.

Unfortunately cannot recommend this though the game due to all these issues above, I want to and every video I see on it looks cool but what in the hell are all these issues.

Game became a digital paperweight cause I can't run it anymore thanks to CPU changes. Don't buy if you can't run AVX2 or whatever CPU thing they changed cause not only did they make this change with no support for people who would be unable to run it. Updating a 5 year old game to now only run on newer hardware is such nonsense.

Great game, Fun combat, Good with friends. Lovely variety of weapon mods and abilities, and a good variety of enemies to fight. Severely underrated and I can't wait to see what the developer adds. Pretty good for a one dev game even for early access the content present is pretty enjoyable.

Wonderful game, good story, amazing gameplay, fun mechanics. Loved playing it on hard back in the day. Decided to reinstall it today. Need to log in on rockstar on an account I don't even remember the details of, investigate further, this was same day as the Sony situation.

I don't leave reviews often but this is infuriating and clear corpo greed like Sony. Can't recommend, I'm not supporting adding a forced account creation for a game that didn't need it and was fine without it for YEARS, LITERAL YEARS, and then same day as Sony you start enforcing a forced log in.
