Now I usually have no drive to write a review for a game because it takes too much time and no one will see it. But Terraria is no game. It's an absolute masterpiece that will give me hours of fun for many years to come. I'm just going to jump into everything that makes this game amazing. A TL;DR will be at the end for people who don't have a lot of time to sit and read a (very) long review. So, let's dive in, shall we?

One of the many things that instantly stands out about this game when you first open it is the music. Bright, simple, catchy, the music in this game is utterly beautiful. I could listen to the OST for hours and still find it as catchy as the first time. The music does well to add to the experience and is an essential part of this game. Turning it off is a sin in my book.

The next part of this game that draws you in is the visuals. Sure they're simple but there's just something about the 2-D style of this game that is so comforting and playful. The sprites are wonderfully textured and the enemies and bosses all look stunning for being 2-D. I can honestly say that Terraria has one of my favorite art styles of any game I've ever played.

It's finally time to get into the most enjoyable part of the game, the gameplay itself. Every part of this game is enjoyable. The first stages of spawning in and gathering your first materials, preparing for the next bossfight, gathering new and more powerful weapons, grinding for items, and facing the final boss, every single aspect has it's own way to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. And I will always love this game for always drawing me back in for another playthrough.

Overall, Terraria is one of the best gaming experiences out there. It's best enjoyed blind as there is so much reward in finding out new features for the first time and reaping the rewards. A wiki is definitely required at a certain point but looking stuff up is still fine as it's just as rewarding as if you would've figured it out on your own. My rating is a 10/10, I would recommend this game to anyone and feel bad for those who will never experience this absolute masterpiece of a game.
