This game is incredibly promising, if AH can continue to make strides in the space this may end up helping to redefine what a live service game can be.

Gameplay loop staleness has actually been addressed (a rare feat), and seems to be a priority.

AH has shown to be willing to listen to the community, and to be willing to change course when need be.


All is not sunshine and roses though:
Rampant bugs that border on unplayability (it's been 4 months and the scopes on guns STILL aren't aligned), crashes upon crashes, questionable nerfs with no viable equivalents, and community managers that attack the community anytime there's complaints.

If AH can fix these this game will EASILY be a GOTY contender. We will see.

Play this game if you don't value money

This is legitimately the only game I've ever uninstalled because it made me so angry, then regretted doing so and redownloaded.

Wanna make a tank? want it to be 30 feet high for no legit reason?

If you are as autistic as me then this is the game for you.

6 axis of freedom flying, good tutorials to help learning curve, amazing graphics.
Grind out 300k, buy big ship. Google what to do next. More google. Get bored of grinding, try exploring, see pirate rated low enough I think I can take him. Die in 5 shots.
Get tired of mouse control, buy logitech Extreme3Dpro, wow I'm so much better at combat.
Figure out decent 2 or 3 hop trade circles. Rake in the cash.

Good game so far, odd mix of Squad/Arma and R6/CoD/Battlefield

The learning curve is different from those games I think, but there's a PvE mode that lets you get in good practice.

My only complaint thus far is that fullscreen mode doesn't work correctly currently, even when setting resolution to 1920x1080 my monitor only reports 1360x768, I have trouble with this in Squad and Post Scriptum as well, but just have to change the resolution lower and then reset it to the desired resolution and it's fixed in those games. Not in this one. The "workaround" is to run the game in borderless mode, which is fine for me as my graphics card can still run the game on very high at ~70FPS, but that's still a massive loss in frames from what I should be getting in true fullscreen.
