This game is fun

edit: a warning to people yet to touch destiny 2, this is a free trial, not a F2P game, prepare to declare chapter 11 bankruptcy if you want to be able to own everything in this game

after a few thousand hours later (not including battle.net hours), me and many others believe that if you want to experience the best in destiny 2, you have to shell out a lot of money, buy all of that time limited content and then at the end have nothing to show for it other than a few good weapons which will only be pixels on a screen.

surely by now we've had enough big map, 100+ player pvp games with unique loot you can acquire from looting, shooting and everything else in between. mw2 for example with its DMZ, that was cool, the battle pass was interesting, but what does it have in common with destiny 2's season pass????.... weapons, and good ones at that.

fortnite's battle pass is infinitely better than destiny 2's season pass for the simple reason that fortnite's BP has the premium currency in it for players to earn for free, yes im using aztecross' video for reference....go and watch it really, its fascinating and it makes you want to get up and shout to bungie and ask where the hell all that EA lookin ♥♥♥♥♥ came from.

we love playing destiny, the game that made us excited to come home from school or work to kill a few hours playing with our friends and unlock the new title for the raid or dungeon that recently dropped. but a lot of people are not liking the current state of delivery content wise. PVP ESPECIALLY, the story is great and lore rich, the seasonal model to how content is delivered? it needs work because its only been the same thing for the last, hmm, idk 3 years....definitely doesnt feel repetitive as all hell. sure you can release the whole story like they used to in d1, and people power through it on all 3 characters in a single night, or day and then complain when there isnt anything to do, or you can drip feed the content like an IV bag over 3 months and honestly, i think i prefer the whole story being released at once, id rather play for the story in a single long session than have to log on every week for 1 hour, for 3 months. it gets boring after the first 2 weeks.

Update-07/08/2023: Still would not recommend this game. If its anything to go by, the latest state of the game proves to the whole community that they are not being fully honest with us. There are so many questions we want to ask but they cannot answer, ie Where is our money going? Why is it so hard to find the resources to make content for the core modes? Stuff that should be easily explained isn't, and is just brushed off with a false promise of "We hear your thoughts and are taking your feedback to heart....by never touching it until the final year where you will only get one map which is already in the game files, and most of the team at bungie will stop working on d2".

They did have a similar issue with communication either earlier in D2 or in D1, where they started to do more community interactions, firstly with creators(ie the guys that can generate the hype), and if they do well enough and keep doing well enough, itll get the ball rolling nicely, whereas the bungie now is just doing the bare minimum to get by, maximising profits by increasing the price of seasonal content(which only lasts for a year mind you, so its not even worth it unless youre a completionist, which the majority of the playerbase isnt), selling all of the good looking armour in the eververse store, etc., etc.

It's so hard to be negative when talking about D2, and Bungie, and they make it so easy to be negative when they do stuff like this for more than 3 years. Its becoming increasingly hard to be optimistic about Bungie's direction regarding destiny. For most of us, TFS is and will likely be the final expansion we will play, and thats not because the game is bad, its got so much potential, the reason is because Bungie is squandering this potential, only thinking about "How little work can we do in order to deliver a product that will force the players to buy into this miserable experience, where we threw together the story at the last minute". Because I tell you, it is miserable, doing the same old mission over and over again for a step in the story quest, for over 3 years, 3 YEARS!...

Bungie needs to do many things to gain the momentum they once had, most things they can figure out themselves but many changes we cannot bring about as players unless they are actively looking for what we're talking about.
