My time with Scorn was a strange mix of fascination and frustration, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it memorable.

The first thing that hits you is the atmosphere. It’s heavy, unsettling, and unapologetically grotesque. The world feels alive in a disturbing way, with organic structures and constant hints of decay. There’s a lot of blood and gore, but it never feels cheap. It’s more like you’re exploring something you were never meant to see, and that alone makes the experience incredibly engaging to watch and play.

Playing it on an OLED screen was definitely an experience on its own. The deep blacks and contrast made the already disturbing environments feel even more immersive, pulling you deeper into its eerie world in a way that standard displays probably wouldn’t capture as well.

The puzzles are where things get tricky. At times, the game gives you almost no direction, leaving you wandering around trying to figure out what even counts as progress. That can be frustrating, especially if you prefer a smoother flow. That said, once you give in and check a guide here and there, things start to click, and the satisfaction of solving those bizarre mechanisms is real.

Performance-wise, the game wasn’t perfect. The second half had noticeable frame drops, which broke immersion a bit, especially in such a visually focused experience. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s definitely something you’ll notice.

Overall, Scorn isn’t for everyone. It’s slow, confusing at times, and visually intense. But if you’re into atmospheric horror and don’t mind getting a little lost along the way, it offers a very unique experience that sticks with you.

Just 100%-ed it and wow what a short but really enjoyable experience. It’s a clean puzzle platformer that doesn’t overstay its welcome, and that works in its favor.

The first thing that stood out to me was the monochromatic art style. It instantly gave me Limbo vibes, but it still manages to have its own identity with the darker dystopian setting and symbolism.

What really stuck with me though is the music. The OST is still ringing in my ears. The game uses a lot of classical pieces that feel super familiar, like stuff you’ve heard growing up in cartoons and movies, and it fits surprisingly well with the atmosphere (Ride of the Valkyries, Flight of the Bumblebee, In the Hall of the Mountain King).

Gameplay-wise, it’s not too hard, but the puzzles are satisfying enough to keep you engaged the whole way through. It’s more about the experience and presentation than pure difficulty.

Overall, it’s a short, stylish, and memorable game, and honestly feels pretty underrated. If you like atmospheric puzzle platformers, this is definitely worth your time.

Finishing Portal 2 really feels like going through a complete experience, not just a puzzle game. It takes everything that made the first Portal great and expands it in every possible way without losing what made it special.

The puzzles are on another level here. They are more complex, more creative, and constantly introduce new mechanics that keep things fresh all the way through. It never feels repetitive. Every time you think you have seen it all, the game throws in something new that forces you to rethink how you approach solving things.

The writing and characters are where the game really stands out. GLaDOS returns and is just as sharp and memorable as ever, but the addition of Wheatley completely changes the tone in the best way. The dialogue is consistently funny, and the voice acting carries a lot of the experience. It is rare for a puzzle game to be this entertaining even when you are not actively solving something.

The atmosphere and world-building are also a huge step up. Exploring Aperture Science feels much bigger and more alive this time, especially when the game takes you outside the clean test chambers and into the older parts of the facility. It adds a surprising amount of depth to the story without ever slowing the game down.

The co-op mode deserves a mention too. Having to think with four portals instead of two makes everything more chaotic and much more demanding, but also incredibly fun when things finally click. It is one of the best co-op puzzle experiences out there.

Now I fully understand why this game is held in such high regard. It is not just a great sequel, it is one of those rare cases where the sequel improves on almost everything.

Playing Portal feels like experiencing a perfectly crafted idea executed with almost no wasted space. It’s a short game, but every moment serves a purpose. The mechanics are introduced so smoothly that you barely notice you’re learning, yet by the end you’re solving puzzles that would have seemed impossible at the start.

The core concept, the portal gun, never gets old. Instead of relying on complexity, the game builds depth through clever level design and physics-based thinking. Each chamber feels like a small “aha!” moment waiting to happen, and that constant sense of discovery is what makes it so satisfying.

I actually played this after finishing the co-op campaign in Portal 2 (not before the single player, of course), and you can really feel the difference. Portal is much easier by comparison, mainly because you are only dealing with two portals instead of four. That added layer in co-op makes things significantly more complex and honestly more chaotic in a fun way. Still, coming back to the original made me appreciate how clean and focused its design is.

Now I understand why this is one of the most recommended games for people just getting into gaming. It teaches you how to think in games without overwhelming you. There is no need for prior experience, no complicated controls, just pure, intuitive problem-solving that gradually expands your way of thinking.

And then there is the atmosphere. The sterile test chambers, the subtle storytelling, and of course GLaDOS, who might be one of the most memorable antagonists in gaming. The humor is dry and unexpected, and it builds alongside the gameplay in a way that makes the whole experience feel cohesive and unique.

By the end, Portal is not just a puzzle game, it is a lesson in game design. It shows how simplicity, when done right, can create something unforgettable.

There are games you play… and then there are games that stay with you. Lost in Random is firmly the second.

From the moment I stepped into its twisted fairytale world, I felt like I was walking through a living storybook—one where every corner hides charm, danger, and a strange kind of beauty. The art direction is incredible, blending a dark, Burton-esque style with environments that feel both unsettling and magical at the same time.

But what really stood out to me was the atmosphere. The music, the characters, the narration—it all works together so naturally. You’ll find yourself stopping not because the game tells you to, but because you want to take it in. Even the smallest encounters, like a lone musician playing in the shadows, feel meaningful.

It’s also not surprising how strong the story is, considering it’s written by Ryan North, the same mind behind Adventure Time. The writing carries that same clever, slightly offbeat charm, but with a darker edge that fits perfectly here. The narration is excellent, the voice acting is beyond amazing, and the terminology used throughout the world feels incredibly fitting—every word sounds like it belongs exactly where it is.

A lot of the dialogue choices also let you lean into irony and unserious responses, which adds a ton of personality. It gives off that same playful Adventure Time energy, where even in darker moments, there’s always room for wit and charm.

Gameplay-wise, the mix of action, cards, and dice mechanics keeps things fresh. It’s not just about skill—it’s about adapting, thinking on your feet, and sometimes just trusting the roll. That unpredictability becomes part of the experience rather than a frustration.

Lost in Random isn’t perfect, but it doesn’t need to be. What it does, it does with heart, style, and a strong identity that’s hard to find these days.

Some games you finish and move on. This one… lingers.

Random Rules!

Wow, what a hell of a ride that was!
That's literally how FPS story games should be made; short, fast and simple.
The variety of weapons in this game is on a whole 'nother new level.

Now I understand why everybody is waiting for Titanfall 3. Count me in!

First game of the series, and the first I play... I really had fun with my friend shredding enemies!

Still a long way to go, to beat through all the DLCs and side missions, but overall not very tiring.

Expect some bugs, like the game not launching because of a stupid error that a YT video will fix it for you, or a crash while fast travelling.
