I think the Portal series is just slightly above average puzzle games; nothing more. And like I said in my review: how many people who say Portal 2 is a really good game also have a high opinion of Mass effect 2?

Of course, the magic of the internet! Why do I keep forgetting its limitless power?

I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who appreciates old school games, although I might be one of the few as young as myself who do — and, for the same reasons you seem not to like them much, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

I do have my share of likeness for visual novels, but I don't play them often and I would hardly ever get a whole load of cash out to pay for any one of them — preffering to spend my money with a good book or one of the games I list in my profile as my most wanted ones.

And you should totally play the Monkey Island remakes. I've only bough them for Steam recently, but I had already played them before. They might, however, not serve too well to entertain you, as they follow the logic and hope for the minds of more than two decades past to be solved. :butterfly:
