You can live a full life dating, re-dating, marrying, divorcing, everything just to have children to send to endless mines... While cleansing your villages of losers, slackers, and otherwise incapable people who eat too much and work too little because they tank your income... While doing sort of Tetris optimization of limited farming space to make the money in the most efficient way... While running animal sweatshops to get materials from them every day so you don't have to murder them in the wild for said materials... Oh, right, there's some Action RPG if you get bored too. And fishing. Everybody loves fishing.

It's okay.

Frogs are the best.

Uraraka is overrated.

Taste all mushrooms.

It was so much fun! Finished the full game in one go, I just couldn't let myself leave it for a minute.

Usually I'm not a huge fan of figuring out who's whose cousin and easily lose the thread of family ties, especially in movies and TV shows, but specifically doing research into it actually got me hooked. IMO, the topic itself doesn't matter, it could've been anything: a weird cult, a conspiracy, residues of people on a ship, these are flavors. It's about doing research. If you like doing research, you'll enjoy the game.

You know how it's 3AM, you've got a hundred tabs open with pages on that weird topic someone mentioned on some old forgotten website, while you were actually looking for something else, and now you can't just let it go, you have to figure out what's going on and learn as much as possible.

This is it. This is the game. This is that weird topic you have to research. Leave no stones unturned.

Stylish, fun to play, and doesn't take forever to finish. I can't believe I haven't played it until now. If you'd like to enhance the experience, try playing in a language you don't know (or trying to learn, and use a dictionary, of course).

Damn, the game's so fun! It's like all my favorite Sega Mega Drive games were mixed together into a very delicious cocktail! It's joyful to look at and play, and made me laugh during dialogues quite a few times, especially with its absolutely hilarious voice acting. Three hours of pure fun!

Defenestrations have never been so satisfying. Very fun puzzly mechanics, lots of interesting lore and characters, both visually and narratively. The world is something I'd really love to set up (or actually play in) as a TTRPG.

Two (three?) of my favorite types of puzzles in one gargantuan of a game. When I started, I thought I'd finish it in 5, maybe 8 hours, this type of small puzzle game. 9 hours in, it feels like I've cleared maybe a tenth of the whole game. When I'm done with the main game, I just hope I'd still have strength in me to also finish the maps from Workshop because those look absolutely fun.

Lingo scratches quite a lot of itches I have for puzzle games: word puzzles, weird Antichamber-like exploration, the feeling of learning and having deeper understanding of how it all works, making leaps of thought and deductions from several different sources, getting frustrated because of a puzzle, then stumbling upon it hours later and solving it because it finally 'clicked', making deranged notes (ah, if only I had a corkboard, a stack of sticky notes, and a ball of red string), and many, many more other itches. There's even a sort of-kind of Metroidvania-like thing of 'come back when you can double jump' (except that it's not double jumping): Lingo has the usual learn-apply-solve loop for different types of puzzles except for one (Maybe more later? No idea yet). You really won't know how to solve it until the game tells you a specific cipher for this (but you can somewhat guess).

The only thing I don't really like is a specific type of puzzle that required rhyming words, only because there are too many different possible rhymes, and some of the correct ones are a bit far-fetched. Granted, most of those have additional contextual hints that narrow down the pool of possible solutions but the standalone ones frustrated me a lot, and not in a positive kind of way. I still haven't finished all puzzles in the room that teaches you this rhyming type of puzzle, I really want to, but I'm at an absolute loss for words for it.

Despite this small nitpick of mine, I'm very fascinated with Lingo. At one point, I dipped one toe into the ocean of advanced puzzles, and it fascinated me all over again with how the rules of the game are combined and twisted into totally new concepts of puzzles within the game's framework. I had to go back to the main puzzles because I felt I didn't have enough experience with the basics, but knowing what awaits me once I get there is keeping me engaged with the whole game, and then some (looking at you, custom map called Duolingo).

Quite fun but badly needs once-promised club management.

This is the first Yakuza interactive movie, and I love it. I can finally stop pretending like I'm any good at pushing buttons in time and simply enjoy wacky characters with no real-time action pressure.
