Ah, thanks, already found the original design of my ship, with a different color palette, in this imgur post: https://i.imgur.com/dm866lr.jpg . Going to try and reseed it and see if it works.

If you need them, here are a couple of good hauler seeds that are working. It seems to be the ship most are having issues with. Common favotite types.

Yea, Ive checked seeds, they haven't changed, but an odd thing to note, when I change my freighter seed, I get only one of three diffent models, there should be hundreds if not thousands, but resseding hasn't worked for me.

It's very strange...not sure if you bothered to check it, but the seed itself didn't change between the saves (yeah, I compared the seeds of both save files and it did not change from before Next to after the core update). I still believe there is something wrong with the ship assembly algorithm, not with the seed itself.
