Bretty good so far. They used the Total War engine to really bring this game to life. The battles are massive, the fighting is intense, and the flying units are very responsive, and give different dynamics to HQ choices. I got this on HB for $12 like some other reviewers, and I will say it is positively worth it. Though I personally wouldn't spend more than $30 on this unless those DLC prices dropped ($20 for the beastmen at time of writing, just mind blowingly high prices). Very fun, I love playing it.

The game is broken, takes way too many hits to down enemies unless you have DLC weapons, and the balance is completely in favor of higher level players making the game unplayable for new users. I don't recommend this game to anyone, as it's main appeal is the slavshit weapons and the pseudo-stalker atmosphere that it fails to provide on both levels. Don't download it, go wait until something better comes along. This game sucks.

It can't be run on a laptop. I mean, it can, but the FPS will be very poor. I guess the game would be better if I could run it.

I have the first Super Power on disc. It's a simple game where you get to essentially pick a country and rule the world. There is really no way to fail other than
  • Unexpectedly get invaded by every other nation on earth because you are growing too powerful
  • Get nuked by every other country that has nukes, without warning, because once again you have grown too powerful.

In Superpower 2, you could say that the difficulty has been ramped up exponentially.
NATO, controlling over 1/3 of the countries, is extremely powerful and pissing them off will have you bombarded with assassination and espianage attempts every fifteen seconds. If you try to invade a NATO country, this is exactly what will happen to you. It is very annoying.
Additionally, you have to really, really work hard to manage your resources as they will be the determining factor of economic growth. And thusly, how much stuff you can research and churn out of your factories.

If you are ethnically anything other than American or Chinese, and you want to see your ethnicity rule the world (or at least part of it) this game will be excruciatingly hard for you. You will definitely want to save after every invaded country. I have yet to make it past invading Slovenia as Hungary, simply because I'm getting roughly 50 messages every minute because of either the US, Germany, England or France throwing as many covert ops units as they can at me simply because I decided to redraw some borders.

Like I said, it's very, very hard.

As someone who owns the guns that are featured in this game, the game is remarkable accurate (however some things aren't able to be removed without very, very careful tooling irl (like an AK rifle's barrel after being pressed into the front trunnion or removing the parts that have been rivited in to the reciever).

Aside from the realistic depictions of weapons disassembly, there is a grinding system in the game that requires you to assemble/disassemble weapons multiple times in order to gain enough experience to assemble/disassemble other weapons. The "Game" mode is botched to hell, and there's absolutely no way that anyone would be able to disassemble/reassemble a Tec-9 within 1:39 using the normal game mode. It just doesn't allow you to move that fast.

MoW: AS is a very tough RTS. You have the ability to control anything from a single soldier to an entire platoon. Combat is intensely realistic as a platoon of infantry in the open can be cut down in seconds. Tank on Tank combat is excessively realistic to the point where most players learn why many strategists would only use tanks with infantry escort. Tracks can get blown off, guns can get destroyed, crew can get sniped from inside of the tank, and ammo racks can detonate, all depending on where a shot is placed. If a tank is damaged, it can be abandoned, or the crew can leave the tank to repair it and get back in.

Aside from Tank on Tank combat, Infantry combat also feels very fleshed out. Units can and will be suppresed (however, there will be no alert, they will all simply just fall to the ground and crawl to the nearest waypoint you set for them), as well as realistic logistics. No unit has infinite ammunition supplies, and if you're running low, your best option is to loot an enemy's corpse for extra ammunition, as ammunition types are universal amongst weapons with examples such as: Rifle Ammo, Pistol Ammo, Shotshells, Machine gun belts, ect. This may not be completely realistic, but it's enough to keep the game steamlined just enough to keep gameplay fun, but not mindless.

My only complaints are:
- There is no Players vs. AI settings in the game
- Server connection is absolute ♥♥♥♥. You will constantly get a message saying "Connecting to server" every fifteen to twenty second. It lags the game for a half second to two full seconds, and is definitely enough to ruin the intensity of a big firefight.
- Units are hardly autonomous. Unless you purposely want units to sit in a defensive position, you have to intensely micromanage your troops and vehicles. If you leave any unit sitting idle for long enough, it WILL be killed.
- In multiplayer matches, there is no "deep striking" infantry unit (like American paratroopers in CoH) that can spawn where you click on the field. 173rd Airborne and Fallshirmjager are just basically elite infantry units, and hold no strategic value over your typical run-of-the-mill G.I.'s or Grenadiers.

Overall the game is great, but the lack of the Player vs. AI option kills it imho. I'd recommend this only so a friend can have a taste of what a true WWII FPS should feel like, only to go back and play with what MoW: AS had failed to compete against.
