Hey there! The name's DJ Pon3. But since you're here, you've gotten to know me a little better, so you can call me Vinyl Scratch.

So, I've been asked this a lot, and I figured that I'd just get it out there so that anyone that cares to know shall: "Why Vinyl Scratch?" Well, that's a simple answer: she's my favorite pony. Why? Well, that's a more difficult answer, one that'd take more time to answer properly than either you or I have. But I'll try my best.

I discovered the fact that there was a serious fandom behind MLP: FiM back in October 2011 through KnowYourMeme after having only visited the site for a few days. There, I saw the sub-entry for a character that caught my interest: DJ P0N-3. The first thing about her that caught my attention was her sleek appearance, and once I saw her short 5-second appearance I instantly picked up on a cool, chilled-out demeanor. Immediately, my next thought was: "there's no way a character that awesome could exist in a show just for little girls," so I decided to watch my first episode in order to see the context of DJ Pon3's appearance: S1E14, "Suited For Success." In that one episode, I disocovered the wonderful animation, smart humor, fantastic singing, optimistic moral outlook, and blissfully cute innocence that MLP: FiM had to offer. And the rest was history.

Since then, I've fully engrossed myself in the fandom, seen every episode to date, and wasted tons of money on merch; and it's all thanks to an equine DJ with electric blue hair, magenta eyes and a slick pair of shades.
