Pretty fun pve extraction shooter. The missions become a big repetitive in the long run, even taking into account the entire extraction formula is repetitive, but it's an easy game to pick up every now and then and progress a bit further. Definitely recommend playing on survival difficulty.

This game feels like an extension to the original Quester aka more of the same (which is great). The addition of boats at first felt superficial, but after playing the entire game I feel like it does add to the exploration and difficulty by mixing things up (when you're on land sea creatures can't attack you and vice-versa).

The difficulty ramps up compared to the first game, so I do recommend playing the first Quester to get a better hang of the game, as the start is much harder in my opinion compared to the first game, the difficulty decreases as soon as you're out of the first "area", but it comes back with a bang at the end.

I might not have found them all, but I feel like some equipment was rebalanced to nerf the resistance to status ailment on your party, as well as some melee attacks will bounce off the enemy most of the times even at the highest level when you reach the end-game mobs.

Overall it's a nice challenge for people familiarized with the first game, but might be a bit overwhelming for newcomers, so have that in mind if you plan on playing this one first.

Really fun turn-based RPG similar to dungeon crawlers of old.

I understand that the fact that it's very light on story might be a turn off for many, but for me it's the simplicity of this game that made me love it.

The gameplay is pretty cool and the equipment variety makes you always want to try some other weapon and improve on your tactics.

Overall pretty fun for what it is.

I have followed this game since it was being developed but didn't buy it early. Got it on a heavy discount for 1 buck.

I definitely think there's some potential in the game but the level design is what kills it for me. The controls aren't perfect either (I'd love to be able to pivot my body in the air to adjust for some better angles) but it really wouldn't be so bad if the level design was just a bit better.

I understand going for minimalism when designing the levels, but I also think that making huge multi-floor levels with tons of enemies and windows you can jump out of that instantly kill you and make you restart the level (even though the game is fast paced and actively encourages you in early levels to jump through windows) is probably not the best idea for a level this big.

Overall a better level design would do wonders for this game, as I think the core is very solid. I can only recommend this as-is on a similar discount to the one I got.

I really liked this game at first. I got all the achievements while they were still below 10%, did every boss with trios, duos and solo (including the hardmode versions), bought everything from the jar and the hardmode rewards, and the Deep of Night was my breaking point.

The game has multiple bugs that were never addressed, and every new patch adds more bugs. Performance issues that get patched out and get patched back in the following patch, bosses that you kill that don't drop any rewards, passive and active effects that either don't do what they claim to do or don't do anything at all, all of these and more are problems plaguing the game that the community seems to ignore, and instead praise FromSoftware for this "free content".

Deep of the Night was something I was looking for, as the game was becoming very stale for me, and instead of actual new content, we just got more of what we already had, with enemies becoming HP sponges, some great "new" relics but also some pretty terrible relics (neither of which you can use outside of Deep Of Night for some reason) and weapons that were previously dropped only in certain occasions being added to the regular drops, but most of them dropping with terrible passives that would make the positive passives useless.

I wish I had a reason to keep playing, but as it stands Deep of the Night is too much of a chore, and I am having no fun running the same content I've been running the last 3 months but harder with no rewards.

A huge downgrade from the first game.

People saying the combat is not the focus of the game might be right, but to me it feels like the developer just didn't put enough effort into it. Overall a downgrade in every aspect from the first game except maybe graphically although that's questionable and subject to personal preference.

This game is a bit on the short side but very fun for what it is. I managed to get all achievements in 4 hours and i think the gameplay is pretty good, with some minor balancing issues. I would love to see a bigger game made around this concept opposite to playing in small square maps as if it was a puzzle game (which it kinda is) but as a proof of concept it's pretty solid.

A nice turn-based RPG, a little bit on the short and easy side. I recommend playing this game if you want a small casual non-stressing turn-based experience with a decent story to go through. Could be a bit better but I was not dissapointed.
