Origins and Training
Vector’s true identity remains classified. What is known is that he was a highly elite operative who underwent rigorous training at Umbrella’s secret facility on Rockfort Island.

It was there that he caught the attention of HUNK, the legendary leader of Alpha Team. Vector’s proficiency in martial arts and blade work was so impressive that HUNK personally oversaw much of his advanced training. This mentorship created a lethal synergy between the two, with Vector adopting HUNK’s cold, efficient approach to "finishing the job."

The Raccoon City Incident (September 1998)
During the outbreak in Raccoon City, Vector was deployed as part of Delta Team. Their primary objective was to support Alpha Team in the retrieval of the G-Virus from Dr. William Birkin. However, after the mission went sideways and the T-Virus leaked into the city, Vector’s mission parameters shifted to "Containment."

For Vector and Wolfpack, containment meant:

Eliminating Survivors: Erasing any evidence of Umbrella’s involvement.

Data Retrieval: Securing research data from various facilities like the R.P.D. and the Underground Laboratory.

Targeting High-Value Assets: In the game's non-canonical branching paths, Vector is even tasked with hunting down Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

Equipment and Specialties
Vector is the team's Recon Specialist, utilizing technology that sets him apart from standard Umbrella soldiers:

Active Camouflage: His trademark ability. Vector uses a specialized suit that allows him to become nearly invisible, mimicking his surroundings to slip past B.O.W.s (Bio-Organic Weapons) or ambush enemy Spec Ops.

Mimicry: He is capable of mimicking the appearance and voice of other individuals, a tool he uses for infiltration and psychological warfare.

CQC Mastery: While proficient with submachine guns, Vector is most dangerous in close quarters with his combat knife, often ending fights before the enemy even realizes he's in the room.
UMBRELLA CORPORATION
The Umbrella Corporation is the central antagonist of the Resident Evil franchise—a multi-billion dollar British pharmaceutical conglomerate that served as a front for the development of illegal biological weapons (B.O.W.s).

1. The Foundation: Sovereignty through Science
Umbrella was founded in 1968 by three aristocrats: Oswell E. Spencer, James Marcus, and Edward Ashford.

While they marketed themselves with the slogan "Our Business is Life Itself," their true goal was much darker. They sought the Progenitor Virus, an ancient strain found in a rare flower in Africa, which Spencer believed could be used to force human evolution and create a new race of "Wesker children" to rule over.

2. The Viral Trinity
Umbrella’s research led to several catastrophic viral strains:

T-Virus (Tyrant Virus): The most famous strain, designed to create super-soldiers (Tyrants). It unfortunately had the side effect of turning most humans into mindless zombies.

G-Virus (Gene Virus): Discovered by William Birkin, this virus caused rapid, uncontrollable cellular mutation and physical evolution.

T-Veronica: Developed by Alexia Ashford, this strain focused on retaining the host's intelligence through a long-term cryogenic incubation process.

3. The Arklay & Raccoon City Incidents
The corporation's downfall began in 1998 due to internal sabotage and mismanagement:

The Spencer Mansion: A leak at the Arklay Research Facility led to the events of the first game, exposing the S.T.A.R.S. team to Umbrella's horrors.

The Destruction of Raccoon City: After a massive leak in their underground "Hive" laboratory (NEST), the U.S. government was forced to sanitize the city with a thermobaric missile to contain the outbreak.

Resident Evil 3 Remake: My Honest Review
(SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THE GAME)

So, is the Resident Evil 3 Remake truly what the majority (or minority) claims it to be? Is it too short? Is there too much cut content? Should it have just been DLC? Is it as action-packed as RE5 or RE6? There is some truth and some falsehood to these claims, at least in my opinion.

1. Is the game too short?
If you compare it to the RE2 Remake, then yes. However, this is because RE3 only has one scenario, whereas RE2R had two. While RE2R allowed you to explore at your own pace if you avoided Mr. X, Nemesis is a different story. I tried to explore, but with Nemesis constantly stalking Jill, it’s much harder.

Mr. X is easy to avoid because he is slow and easy to dodge. Nemesis, on the other hand, runs and uses his tentacle/whip to pull you down. While he is dodgeable, he doesn't let you roam the area peacefully. My first playthrough on Medium difficulty took about 4 to 5 hours. I imagine that playing on the hardest difficulty for the first time would take closer to 6 to 8 hours.


2. Is there a lot of cut content?
I wouldn’t say "a lot," but some iconic scenes and locations from the original were removed, such as Brad’s original death scene and the Clock Tower. Instead, these elements were "reimagined."

We get to see what happened to Marvin and other RPD officers, connecting the story to RE2R. While some classic scenes are gone, they added new locations like the Umbrella Underground Lab.


3. Should this have been DLC?
Are you kidding? I can’t believe people are saying a game with this much production value should have been DLC. It is much more than that. Just because it is shorter than RE2R doesn’t make it a DLC.

Action vs. Horror
RE3R brings new interactions between Jill, Carlos, and Nikolai, along with new locations, death scenes, and redesigned monsters.

Is it scary?
There are some locations that gave me the chills, but if you want pure horror like RE2R, you might be disappointed. RE3 was always meant to be more action-oriented. You are given plenty of ammunition to fight zombies and Nemesis. It feels different from RE5 and RE6, though; in RE5, I felt tension but not fear, whereas RE6 (specifically Leon and Ada’s campaigns) tried to balance both.

Final Verdict: 7.5 to 8 / 10
The game isn't a 10/10, but it’s still very good. Is it easy? Not necessarily. Even on Medium, it provides a challenge. I am disappointed that certain iconic scenes were removed, but that doesn't make the game "bad." They replaced them with new content that connects well to the overall story.

Short length doesn't equal a bad game. Personally, I’d rather play a high-quality 5-hour game than a 20-hour game that drags on. That’s just my preference.

Pros & Cons
Cons: I wish the game was a bit longer, I miss the removed iconic scenes, and I wish there were more costumes for Jill (hopefully we get some DLC later).

Pros: The "Shop" unlocks after your first playthrough, adding replayability by letting you unlock Jill’s RE1 costume and powerful weapons.

Difficulty: For those who found Hardcore too easy, Nightmare and Inferno modes are much more challenging. In these modes, Nemesis can even follow you into certain safe rooms!


Resident Evil Resistance
This is a new multiplayer IP from Capcom. RE fans were originally hoping for an Outbreak remake and were disappointed to get this "Dead by Daylight" style 4-vs-1 game instead.

Is it fun? Yes! Despite my initial skepticism, it has a lot of potential. Playing as a Mastermind against four Survivors is quite entertaining. Since it's included for free with RE3R, you should definitely give it a try. I hope Capcom continues to update it with new characters like Jill Valentine (added April 10th). Don't let it sit in your library—give it a chance!

Agree or disagree? That’s up to you. In the end, there is no right or wrong answer—it's all about whether you enjoy the experience.

Review: Resident Evil 2 (Remake) – A Masterclass in Survival Horror
Resident Evil 2 is a phenomenal return to form for the franchise. Having followed the series since the days of RE Outbreak and the original RE2 and RE3, I can confidently say the atmosphere here is unmatched. It is a relentlessly intense experience that keeps the player on edge from start to finish.

Atmosphere & Gameplay
Even on Standard difficulty, the game manages to be genuinely nerve-wracking. The sound design is a particular standout—the heavy, echoing footsteps of Mr. X are enough to induce panic. I found myself paralyzed in "Safe Rooms" for extended periods, simply bracing for the next encounter. It is a rare game that can maintain this level of tension throughout multiple playthroughs.

Visuals & Character Design
The character models and creature designs are top-tier. The evolution of the antagonists—specifically William Birkin’s second transformation—is visually stunning and mechanically challenging. From a technical standpoint, the game runs quite well, with only very minor, occasional framerate fluctuations that do not detract from the overall experience.

Narrative & Content
Playing as Leon S. Kennedy during his first day as a rookie cop feels authentic. Unlike the "action hero" persona he adopts in later entries, this version of Leon feels human, vulnerable, and visibly shaken by the horror surrounding him.

The game offers incredible value through its "A" and "B" scenarios for both Leon and Claire. Beyond the main story, the inclusion of the 4th Survivor mode provides a brutal, high-stakes challenge for veteran players. The looming presence of multiple Tyrants makes every run a desperate struggle for survival.

Final Verdict
With additional content like the Tofu Survivor and upcoming free DLC, there is plenty of replayability here. Despite any external concerns regarding DRM (Denuvo), the quality of the game itself is undeniable.

Score: 10/10 Recommendation: An absolute must-buy for survival horror fans and long-time followers of the series.
