It's free with no P2W crap and they update it frequently + communicate with the playerbase regularly. You should at least give it a shot if you have an interest in action RPGs.

A decent hack-n-slash action game that I acquired from the Humble THQ Bundle.

Imagine Ocarina of Time with Devil May Cry-style combat. That's Darksiders in a nutshell.


What I liked:

The combat was entertaining due to the variety of combat techniques and weapons available.
The game rewarded exploration well; there are lots of optional items to find.
It was decent in terms of game length (took me 33 hours to beat on Apocalyptic, with all extraneous items acquired).
I liked the graphical style, but some may find it outdated by now, especially since it was a console port.


What I disliked (mostly nitpicking):

It's a console port, so customization options in general were limited.
Some of the puzzles were more tedious than actually challenging.
Gimmicky boss fights (this part was *very* reminiscent of the Legend of Zelda games).
Fairly linear in terms of world design.
Story was pretty bland.


Overall:

I enjoyed this game and would definitely recommend it to fans of action/hack-n-slash games.
