In short: It's peak

Never having played a Budokai Tenkaichi game, after trying Sparking Zero I understand why the series is so beloved. Getting better at the game feels rewarding and satisfying. It's easy enough for beginners to pick up, yet there is a surprising amount of depth to the battles.

The Good
- Enjoyable fights
- Plenty of characters to choose from
- 'What if' scenarios

The 'Bad'
- No Crossplay supported on release
- Story Mode (a little confusing and felt a bit lacking in some aspects. I wanted to see even more creative and crazy scenarios.)
- The music DLC was not included in the special and ultimate editions


I hope they'll continue to give this game the updates and love it deserves. I'm very hyped for whatever is next.
