This game is very fun and addicting, a detective game I've been waiting for years. Makes you feel like a real detective, without holding your hand.

It has it's flaws, but they aren't bad enough for me to dislike this game. Very innovative game play, should of won 2023 steam award.

If you like the feeling of being a detective, using clues and evidence to guide your investigation and not having your hand held unlike Sherlock Holmes games, this is the game for you.

Absolutely amazing game.

Only issue, mouse control is horrendous. Use a controller for the best experience.

TL;DR:
Cry of Fear is a classic, it is still enjoyable and made me jump a few times! It doesn't have the best graphics (OG Gold Source Engine) but it does a good job and the atmosphere holds up great! I played this with my friend in CO-OP and we had a blast! Laughing or screaming, though it was mainly me who was screaming.

Pros:
- The game has some scary moments
- The atmosphere holds up pretty well most of the time

Negs:
- The CO-OP is a bit unstable at times, but I had a good few hours with a friend playing through it!
- The melee and guns are a bit strange, but you get used to them.
