This game is BUGGY, since the updates my friends' graphics cards are no longer supported and the game ultimately runs terrible. Even on my 3070 Ti, I really can't play the game in high quality, when that's not the case for any other games in my library. Also this AI has gotten worse than when this game was first released. Combatants will shoot you through smoke now, around corners, through walls. Your team AI is AWFUL, they always walk in-front of me an get in my way after only playing the first campaign mission, I won't be playing anymore. Also, you lose your rank for leaving during a Co-Op mission that YOU are hosting. This game gives you no real reason to play solo at all anymore and makes it less fun now even with friends. I would stay away from this, I will no longer be supporting this project with the direction they are going.

SHOULD I BUY THIS GAME?: Yes! I think this game is worth the money!

This game is constantly a new adventure, and besides the scenery, it doesn't get old too fast. The classes are all realistic and balanced. It's up to you and your team on how serious you take your roles. There are so many factors that determine how you play each map and objective. You can move very fast pace or pretty slow, the versatility and the momentum is unmatched and such a pleasant surprise. Just a refreshing shooter with tactics and objectives that require teamwork.

SHOULD YOU BUY THIS GAME?: No. Not even on sale, at least not anymore.

Originally, Ready or Not was a great game! I bought it when it first came out and put about 10 hours into it. There was never anything game-breaking, the points and missions were very balanced, just an all-around great experience. Recently I have come back to the game and it runs like GARBAGE!

Stuttering in Singleplayer, but I can run Arma Reforger in a server of 100 people on Ultra graphics and be fine...not at all what it used to be in that regard. Beyond the graphics, the point system for the Rules of Engagement sucks now. I get we are going for realism, but even in practice if I shoot someone who is holding a gun I still get points taken and fail the mission...? I am not sure why we are moving backward here, but I would find a different game and save my money.

SHOULD YOU BUY THIS GAME?: Not yet, or at least buy it on sale.

I only have about 10 hours at the time of this review. This could easily be the BEST game I have played, but it just misses the shot with all the BUGS. I can spend hours on playing a village or town and have a bug like "-5 Homelessness" that never goes away and affects my approval which makes me never receive new families like a should.

These bugs aren't just small or cosmetic, they can literally dismantle progress that's taken hours to change. There is no going back and saving and reloading to fix these. It's truly just a waste of effort. With all this being said though, I still find myself coming back to the game and being so hopeful that it will become what it could be! I would advise you to hold out on buying at full price, I would wait until it's on sale or when it's in a more complete state.

Besides the bugs, this this game is great at creating an environment of realistic choices and events that affect a village or town that you have control of. You can collect resources for building, thriving, and even administration. The ability to stockpile and be resource rich as well as trade, administrative and powerful enough to create policies and collect taxes, or just a militaristic society that is built on a base of rich Iron deposits and mercenaries makes it so versatile and leaves so much room for genuine choices and outcomes. You can dominate or unite, I also love that I don't have to buy a million DLCs to enjoy the full game.

For being a free horror game, this has everything. It's suspenseful, it has just enough story, and the audio has you looking over your shoulder for anything and everything. I'm looking forward to forgetting the game in a year and playing it again honestly. The only reasons this was not a 10/10 game was due to the limited play time, and the lack of intuition when it comes to some simple game mechanics. (Eating a whole pan of lasagna)

So, the game-play is short. That's not a major issue as long as the story is there, except it's NOT! The first game, which is free, was much more suspenseful and really had me following the text messages and looking over my shoulder. This one just wasn't, I wouldn't recommend paying for this, just watch someone else play it is you want. One last thing, the first game was 20 minutes and felt so much better, this one took double the time and added nothing better, just lots of useless filler.

[GREAT GAME, TERRIBLE DEVS]

Myself and everyone I play with cannot join a match after we finish our first unless we are in a party together. If you wanna solo it and just play match after match, good luck. You'll find yourself restarting the game after every match just to be able to play another one. I've also never frozen on this game before until this most recent patch, I thought it was my issue, until other friends also had this issue for the first time.

Overall, game-play is great, the developers just need to actually care about fixing things for the community and not to make a dollar. I could care less about getting a new skin, I'd rather be able to play my game when I want to, rather than be held down by development issues.

Who Is This Game For:
Anyone who has extensive knowledge or works in the emergency field and/or is highly experienced with computers.

What I Like:
The Game has a wonderful atmosphere, very immersive!
Tons of vehicles/maps to play on.
The variety and customizability is remarkable.

Overall Opinion:
I bought EmergeNYC the first month in came out, I played it for about an hour and found it far too hard to learn how to play and ultimately never thought I would play it again. Some odd years later I am now a firefighter and wanted to hop back on. They added far more options than there ever were when it first started, but the bugs are all still there if not worse. If you want a game for people to be happy with, you need to fix the basics. I could live with 3-5 pieces of apparatus, but I can't deal with having to relaunch my game 10 times just to play it smooth once. This game has potential. and I've waited years. I would recommend waiting if you're looking to purchase this game.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great came, I've played for an hour and I've just about about completed ACT 1; however, I would not purchase this for $60. If you're not too anxious to play this is more of a $30 game. The game-play is just the same continuous kill ridden and find the saferoom. The story-line is mediocre at best. Truthfully, there are better games out there that are free, this would only be worth purchasing because of the amount of people that are playing this and will play this.

This game left Alpha, but still has issues. Yet again, this last patch made it so volume sliders are broken. I went to turn up my game volume and it slid it down to 0 and will not slide back up, this literally makes the game unplayable and ruined any chance of making progress on the wipe day of a server. There's constant mapping errors whether it be getting stuck or having textures/objects misplaced. Overall, it's a love hate relationship but there's always a way to have fun.

10/10 wood pirate boi again
