My initial reaction to the June 7, 2024 announcement was frustration because the devs misled the current PC players for over 6 months leading up to it.

"No new content since October 2023 and we can't tell you about future content until June. SORRY 😅" - Devs

The players were left in the dark and had assumed for months that there would be a console launch at some point because full controller support was added to the game.

June arrives. Big announcement is here.

"Haha check out this BRAND NEW GAME lol. Coming to console.. u never saw that coming hahaha 🤪" -Devs

"Y r my pc players mad? 😮" -Devs

"U can't be mad. Y r u mad. Ban. Ban. Mute. Slow mode." -Discord mods probably

I've interacted with more than 1000s of players in this game. The majority of them were mad about the announcement. Every part of it catered to new players; nothing for the step-child, continuing players.

Even after a full month has passed, there is only a rushed Q&A video to quell continuing players. The devs don't care about the 1000s of players with over 5k hours. They don't care about us because they know we will still come back to this game because it has everything we want in a game.

The devs have crashed this game into an iceberg and it has sunk, but that won't stop us from playing. We will build submarines to follow this game to the depths and get crushed by the water pressure and sink with it.

This game is a masterpiece.
The sounds, the sights, the "features", the fun.
It has fun for the simple, the skilled, the dumb and the defective alike.
Something for every player.
There are racists, sexists, bigots of every kind, Indonesian gold-sellers who call you "pig-dogs" in their native tongue, lechers, cheaters, misers, but also at the same time, benevolent, loving, and compassionate friends.

You won't find a better world than New World. I can't wait to welcome and guide new fodder friends at the console release. See you all in Aeternum. o7

I have had this for almost a year now. I love it. It is a great game to play with friends. I highly recommend playing it with friends.

This a really fun game! It is very easy to kill some time with. I am loving the MMO :D
