Story is a huge step down from Witch Queen (writing took a nosedive for whatever reason, tons of things happen just to force the plot to advance), Neomuna, despite being a city, feels completely dead in every regard (Spawn area is designed very weirdly too, quite hard to traverse on foot, I guess they just assume you'll use Strand 24/7 which doesn't actually seem to be that useful?) and the price for what I've played so far seems really unreasonable.

its black ops 3 but better in literally every way possible, ESPECIALLY the story (zombies is preference mostly). if you can nab it for $15 or under and dont mind having to wait for peak times to play mp, its a solid buy

TL;DR : Don't buy this unless it's on a sale for under $30 USD. It's a GREAT addition to the game but the price is not justified whatsoever, especially with how almost nothing changed outside of the expansion content.


Expansion is fun as hell to play through for the (little) content that it has, but absolutely not worth even close to the $50 CAD it's selling for. Campaign (and the missions after it) went above and beyond Forsaken and Taken King's quality, having a good balance between cutscenes and actual gameplay along with NPCs you can talk to and get extra bits of lore from in between missions in addition to some of the new loot feeling great to use, especially with some of the new perks. Stasis is some of the most fun I've had in the game in ages, doesn't feel as powerful as something like bottom tree Dawn against loads of adds, but I never expected it to be that anyway (Have yet to fully upgrade a Stasis subclass, but I don't expect massive changes).


Problem is, the game around it has barely changed. If you want to play ALL of Beyond Light you'll spend your time going back to old content to level, as pretty much none of the content BL introduced is actually a direct path for levelling past the soft cap. This results in you spending the bulk of the expansion release, supposed to be the time when you actually play the expansion, playing old content just so you can finish off Beyond Light. The grind's been alleviated and you'll be able to hit the non-pinnacle cap faster than before, but that barely makes it any better. It's been 3 years of this exact same grind, I find it very hard to justify another year of this, even not having paid for the expansion. Won't go into gear sunsetting and how this expansion barely added loot that replaces old gear as that's a topic of it's own, but most loot has also been cut out, making the problem above even worse.

Unlike the title implies, this game has basically nothing in common with the original Most Wanted from 2005. However, on it's own, it's a damn good game with a multiplayer that somehow STILL holds up to this day and a fun (but short) singleplayer mode/story. The Terminal Velocity DLC (the airport map expansion) is amazing also, however, get that on a sale if possible, but honestly really fun regardless.

Also not sure why there's all the reviews saying the game is NOTHING like the original Most Wanted when that's been common knowledge since BEFORE this game released. They must've noticed it's not the same game assuming the art and page doesn't mention anything from the old game at any point right?

Cheaper than Shadowkeep with over twice the content. If you're new to the game and want to take things at your own pace, this is the expansion to get.

Warmind at $20 had more on offer. It also didn't magically make content disappear after 3 months. Unless you're a hardcore D2 player, it's a fat skip.
