The night falls dark and the tomce must attend to his duties . He comes home to his glorified dirt hole, smelling of fermenting bear poo and rotting lamb, where his morbidly and amply proportioned stepmother reclines in such luxuriant excess that she appears to merge seamlessly with the family sofa, the living room itself seeming to languish under her presence, gradually transofrming into a sanctuary for microbe and unknown life, as though time and cleanliness alike had surrendered to her dominion. Her horribly misfigured son, Tomas of the Dankeris river, 6th of his name; reeking of putrid and puddle of his own making must head to his chamber - the clandestine sanctuary he deems his laboratory, a cave, wherein amidst shadows he pursues his chemical inquiries, joining forces mold with mold, fabricating unknown biological mass - even more dreadful than the one taking habitat in his stepmother's chambers.
