Just to let you guys know the map PRIVE MAPS LEF4DEAD 34797, malwarebytes is showing that map has a virus called trojan.malpack.generic
Ive reported it to the admins. Also showing this dudes l4d1 version of the same thing is infected too with another virus on (left4maps campaign 34784). Be careful with those two. I've deleted them from my collection. Reported to Admins also.

speaking of, i had also heard of minor differences
something different between the original version and the left 4 dead 2 port
so maybe we can combine them or have different versions in ours
seem to remember also time of day differences, perhaps weather changes

anyway, now seems to have developed an actual technical issue with crashes
very consistent, around the same time and moment whenever i try it
even outside of survival mode if i edit the text file to make it load coop
always a specific moment as if there's a possible script issue (best guess)
find jaiz's original upload and comb through all the comments
i think it's also still a concern with other versions on the workshop
something began happening over the years after jaiz cleansed it
i'm betting something changed in the game itself affecting it

for the most part, the more widely known helm's deep situation was solved
you can travel back in time with youtube and find jaiz's videos on it
it came to light some time in 2019 through 2020 what serious_samurai did
borderline malicious intent, removing menu elements, banning users
some how getting away with making changes all within the vpk
including hijacking and disabling server stuff even if you're the admin
too much to list here but i'm sure you'd remember if you think about it
seem to remember you even commented about it (jaiz put you in the video)

I saw your note about the campaigns. I still have your notes from where we were at before my seizures. I'm going to pick up and finish downsizing the campaigns I don't have on the workshop first so people like Stiven below can play them. Won't take to long to fix them. there are only 7 or 8 of them maybe. However they are all 800mb or bigger. I've downsized a few already. I thought all that stuff with Helms Deep was solved already? You say it's crashing? Its almost always a texture in a place it shouldn't be or a leak in the map. I am currently workng on Abandon Hope 7.0. Two of the maps had leaks in them. I'm surprised the damned thing worked at all. One map had 17 leaks plus 1/2 the models in 2 sections were hanging out the map. Took me an hour to seal all the holes and rebuild the skymaps in those areas. I've got your list. We'll getter done. I'm going to be having surgery in a little while and will have some downtime to give this stuff some serious time.

Ya I am an avid Halo fan. I'm in it more for the campaign than the multiplayer not that I didn't play it back in the day. I need to finish playing Infinite. I was in the middle of playing it when those damned things started. I watched some of the local influencers whining about using infinite assets in Halo 1. Who cares. It looks good as hell. I can't wait. 1 guy called Halo Follower got to play what they have done already and he had some small legitimate nitpicks but it's all expected with an unfinished game. To be honest it's probably why Halo studios let them play it was to get some feedback. Many eyes make for a better campaign for everyone. But nitpicking stuff like we don't like the forerunner textures. They are too shiny, or the elites look like Halo 5 design etc. Go play the original game if you don't like it is my take. Just stop whining about Halo.

After many months of rumors and leaks, Microsoft today officially announced a remake of the original Halo experience that began it all. The aptly named Halo: Campaign Evolved will be landing as a full remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved campaign from 2001. Not that Im not having those damned seizures life is f'n good right now. I've only had a couple of them in the last 4 weeks and it's always been late at night when I getup to whizz or something and they are really diminished. Barely notice them now. Still got 4 more weeks to go until Im at full dosage. My neurologist said I need to build up this medication? I told him Im on a schedule the other neurologist has me on to build up. Currently doing 100mg a day and I need to be at 200 a day. Im getting there. So Im going to reach out to him again and see if he'll do Escape the Devils Chapel. If he does a good job I'll let him do another. Just letting you know if you see that appear on l4d1 run through it and see what you think. I'll do the same. I was talking to one of those guys that is porting all those campaigns to l4d1. I asked him if he wanted to port a few of my mashups over? He crawled up my ass and said you got mad at his buddy for porting one of 1sgs campaigns why would I want to do anything for you. I asked him did you ask before you did it? I told him that was not really our campaign that we manage it but we'd have to ask 1sg if he's ok. I told him don't assume you can just grab one of ours and port it without asking. Although as long as he isn't a ♥♥♥♥ and does a good job I really don't mind my mashups getting ported over to l4d1 so those people who don't play l4d2 can play them. I think it was that drnXXX guy he's Russian I know that much. I'm so busy right now trying to clean up my mega drive (which Im doing away with btw. I can't even log into the sob. I told them wth. So I moved over to google drive. I'll send you the link for it. I'm going as fast as I can.

so to be sure, the Absolute Zero author is having another mental breakdown
he's gone around trying to have all of his maps removed once again
they might even try to bother with harassing people on "game maps" of it
make sure you got some kind of versions of his Absolute Zero trilogy
last i remembered, i had some maps on my "game maps" account
made sure to set them to "archived" and not "abandoned" for safety
probably the only new one to save was "Resident Evil 7 Guest House"

Cont - The mediafire drive will be going away in Oct this year. I've had it for years but steam won't let me share anything from it. In fact I got a 3 day vacay last time I shared something from the drive to someone so I'm moving everything over to the Mega drive. Ok guys Time for an update. Last couple months been having some pain in my lower back (sciatica). Got an MRI and got (not) good news. I figured I had a bad disc but it appears my work accident (for which I had to have my L5 disc fused back in 2010) apparently also damaged my L3 and L4 discs also. Bottom line is now I have two bulging discs pushing on my spine driving me crazy which I am going to have to have fused also. Talk about not sleeping at night. Just waiting on the surgical coordinator to give me a call. From the sounds of it they are booked through Sep so that means Oct-Dec more than likely. I've had this surgery 2wice in the past and it hurts and really puts you down for a few weeks. Currently, I'm trying to get my mediafire and mega drives cleaned up.

a CD ripping tool from the Windows 95/98 era, dubbed "CD2WAV32," is back again after 16 years (from the Windows 7 era). The utility has now been updated to work on Windows 11 version 24H2, which is pretty cool.

i'm not aware of people getting "banned" for filtered links
they do have a legit content filtering system in place, though
but i would agree if it might be too strict and extreme sometimes
as you'd see, you'd either get stuck in the check not ending
or the comment would go through but have "link removed" in it

Steam is being steam and I won't be posting any more of my mediafire links anymore on here. They banned my account for a couple days over it? It's obvious if you scan the item I shared it was a a map for l4d(1-2) but they always tag them suspicious link in red LOL. I guess they've had people screw up one time too many using that platform. I'll be disabling that download forum (Mediafire) as of Oct when renewal time comes around. Why pay to host campaigns on two platforms especially if steam is going to be a choad about one of them. I'm pushing hard to make mega work out. So far they don't have a problem with it because its an https url.

Don't panic but my timelordsl4dmaps.com page is down for a day or two. The company is moving the website and something to do with the ssl certificate not propagating yet has it down. If you try to connect it just errors out and says it is not secure. I was told to check back in 24 hours and troubleshoot it from there. Be patient. Please. :) Thanks. Still working on sorting. Down to the last 900+ campaigns to put where they go then the fun comes with ridding the folders of duplicates etc. Long time coming. Trying to get this done by Oct so I can fully switch over to my megasite instead. Much easier to maintain. Here is an example of why my brain is falling apart at the seems LOL. I found most of these in campaign packs I found out on dc++, gamefront pages, and a german server that is still hosting some vpks that aren't on gamemaps anymore. I'll have the best collection available for you guys pretty soon. Added lots of new versions I didn't have and some new campaigns also.
