Set in the old west the story follows the life of a bounty hunter named Silas Greaves. The main storyline of the game is narrated by Silas as an old man in a run down salon. As an interesting mechanic the game can change based on the narration, some of these changes are amusing. Often you will play a mission as one of your audience explains the well known story only to then have to replay the same mission as Greaves say "Well that's an interesting story but what happened was....."

Gameplay wise it is a very linear game and is a sequence of shooting galleries. Reach an area and a number of enemies will spawn and rush you. You have 3 main weapons and upgrade trees, pistols (inc dual wielding), rifle and shotgun. Kills also earn concentration which can initiate a 'bullet time' slowdown allowing you to target and fire at multiple enemies. The boss fights are a mix between bulletsponges and duels, The duels are by far the best of these. I find the difficulty of the duels to be just right, often I would require a couple of attempts to complete but sometimes succeeded in the first attempt.

Outside of the storyline there is also a couple of leaderboard style game modes. Arcade which is a level you need to clear with the highest score possible. Score is a combination of points for chaining kills and things like headshots and time to complete. There is also a pure dual mode where you need to complete 15 duels with 5 lives. The main game is still the main draw card but they additional modes are fun.
