Haven't had this much fun dying since Elden Ring

Become squid.
Save town.
Demo was great this was an immediate buy for me.

Played the demo, LOVED IT.
Played on game pass for pc because I wanted to make sure I still liked it and LOVED IT.
Bought deluxe on Steam to support Monster&Monster because ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, how often do you get a whole ass GAME when you buy an absolutely banger of a music album? I mean seriously, I imported the album to my Amazon library and I now have a whole ass playlist of some of the best driving songs I've heard in a while.
My only gripe is that I should have bought this after the sale ended to give this Dev team the full amount this game deserves.

Great soundtrack, Great vibes, and just a really chill time. Careful with those Fragile loads though!

Really wanted to be a wizard in a Palia-esque sort of community....

But jeez, having an option for ultrawide resolution and then getting locked out of the options menu because the UI DOESN'T support ultrawide is just mind boggling to me.

This needs to bake in the fires of Mount Doom for bit....

My name is now Herbal Henry. I live in a tree house and own a small apothecary shop called "Herbal Henry's Harem of Healing" where travelers can stop and replenish potions and herbs and get a drink and some food. My neighbor is an Abbot who is rebuilding a cliff side Monastery and is a proficient weapons maker. I give him stone and he gives me mushrooms and herbs. Life is good. 10/10

Another game I will be getting stuck inside except this time there's people!! Now if only I could find friends to play with so if you want, add me!

Great game and great people

I sincerely do not know why all the hate. Take a look at my profile, I'm playing way too many early access titles right now so I think I can make a decent review of this game.

Combat is a lot of fun, holy hell. A little janky when it comes to mouse clicks but that will be fixed and it is still so fluid and satisfying to watch.
Crafting is very easy although I would love a search function.
Building is super satisfying and quick since inventory is right off the bat and I haven't hit a weight cap yet.
Haven't even gotten into the story at all because I just keep running around and hunting and crafting and building.

For being a small developer indie game that just hit Early Access, I'm having fun and that's all I could ask for and I'm sure it will just get better and better.

TLDR, ignore all other reviews and just try it. For 11 bucks just suck it up and try. Runs great on a laptop connected to a 3440X1440 monitor in full res at ultra settings averaging 65-85ish FPS. And if the developers read this, just keep doing what you are doing, it's a ton of fun.
